im stable, ill prob hold off... on another note, yeah that fb update was bad, i just found flow on applanet and its a good replacement until fb gets their shit together... and that landscape mode u linked ill prob not use...

So go to Menu > Accounts and sync then turn off auto-sync. Then, tap your Google account, hit Menu, then hit Sync Now

I am aware of that, but I would like to have the option to restore or not restore automatically at setup. I don't understand why it was removed though.

At any rate, anyone else notice my second issue:

I also notice through the RCs and the PREs that the LCD screen does not light up when you move the phone away from my ear.

seemed to be fine for me. i did a nandroid backup just in case.

flash the new rom, then flash gapps again. you should be fine. its only been 20 minutes for me but no issues.

also flash facebook 1.5.2 as included in the first post if you want to fix facebook forcecloses. it will also ask you again for your google account info when you first boot. fill that stuff in.

For those of us that use a manual backup for our contacts, the info that google automatically pulls in is a nuisance. I know using google contacts is the better way to do it, but stubbornness, baby steps and all that. If possible please add that option back.

Dont know what to say about the LCD problem hes havin though :/

goto contacts, goto settings, uncheck show gmail contacts.

I just tried just to verify and did not see this option at setup. The only option I have is "Back up data with my google Account." Are you using the gapps with talk? (This is the one I use).
