I have EF File Explorer backed up in my Google apps, but if you go to Menu>Applications you should be able to allow installation of non-Market apps. Actually installing it without a file explorer of some sort is something I couldn't help you with, unless you downloaded a different explorer to get to and install the other from your SD card

TeeJay has the right idea. What you want to do is take whatever file explorer you prefer and place it into the gapps zip file you are going to install in recovery. For example: open gapps-evo-20110415-talk.zip/system/app/???
Place File Expert/Astro/ES/etc (File Explorer apk) in that folder.
Then it will be there for you.
I would then use it to open the folder that holds Titanium BackUp and let it install your apps and data... not system data

My wifi is all messed up now. Its so bad I stopped using this ROM and its still doing it. It will be using wifi with great signal and for no reason it just stops using it. Its driving me nuts. Also, is there any way to keep the dang lock screen off? This is my fist (non) sense ROM by the way.

went from pre3 to pre5.. Never had a problem with wifi

It's in the beginning of thread (OP) It can be DL'ed there.

Get AnyUnlock from the market. It will remove lockscreen and it's very easy to enable if you need or want it as well. Good Luck.

I don't want the voicemail app as my plan doesn't support it. it can't be uninstalled so I was hoping deck took it out of pre5. I want to upgrade to pre5 if it's not in there.
