Tried a few things wipe caches, stop using AOSP power control widget but no luck so far with 4g... Hopefully its just me..

Its a known issue. Deck knows and has it fixed with 1.2.

On a side note, I to am having issues with download speeds. I was on 2.15.00.09.01 at first and decided to upgrade it to the latest 2.15.00.04.08 and the download speeds were still garbage. I tried 2.15.00.11.19 and its still slow. hmmm oh well...no biggie.

One more thing.. My battery is at 6 percent and i just noticed my sensor usage is through the roof... Google maps has 15 hours of use of it. Pulse and Android system have 5 and my dialer has 2 hours. Any ideas?

I have to agree with this one . I loaded up Deck 1.1 and used the most recent Tiamat kernel . Of course my mom calls right after I get it completely set up . I get off the phone and check battery usage since I have had bad luck with Gingerbread roms and insanely high "Android system" usage . After talking on the phone for 49 mins my android system usage was at 89% voice calls at 2% . This problem has haunted me on every variation of Gingerbread AOSP I have tried on my phone . So I went into spare parts and checked what might have caused it . Everything looked fine till I got to "Sensor Usage" . Under Sensor usage in spare parts Android system was sitting at 100% . Im going to assume since most of the time the phone was up and running I was mostly on the phone . Which would have some effect on the proximity sensor . Is the proximity sensor causing such high Android system usage ? Other versions of Gingerbread aosp usually breaks this function in spare parts so I was never able to confirm if that was infact the issue with those . BTW I have tried doing all the other fixes to reduce "Android system" usage . Everything from swapping kernels , shutting down back up , shutting down all that stuff . Even so far as to shutting down all sync'ing apps . I believe its the proximity sensor . Any other ideas ?

Do you have any screenshots?? I searched a little bit but couldn't find any. Does it work with 1.1? I've been using Matted Blues but since I flashed 1.1, I have not been able to get it to work...just get a constant bootloop.

here you go, yes works with 1.1

I have this problem as well of google maps being on, and the GPS useage being ridiculously high. I logged out of latitute and this has resolved the problem temporarily as I dont use maps that often

Thanks for the update, always great to be informed!

Can you tell me if running Tiamat's SBC kernel will yield better battery life than the stock, included one? I am running 1.1 and TM 4.0.1 but never bothered to run the rom right "out of the box". Perhaps I should.....

Actually the issue was fixed on my end. I did a clean install instead of flashing over my previous setup 1.0 and I have had no issues. Battery life got better and everything is back to normal(as of right now)

thanks though

I can tell you I get way better battery life over stock while using TM 3.3.7 SBC. I am waiting for 1.2 and I will try out TM 4.0.1 at that time. I have found stock to never play nice with my phone and that always turned me away till I tried another kernel.
