I think my radios are up to date. I used to do all kinds of modding on Windows Mobile, but I'm learning as I go as far as android. I'm trying to read up on everything still, but I have a pretty good basic understanding of everything, I've read the beginner stickies and all that jazz...
Anyway, I'll try installing it without Rom Manager and see if that works. Do you think it would help if I did a hard reset first and wiped it? |

That last part might be your problem...it was recommended coming from a ROM other than 4.3 to wipe everything. Because the new ROM is from a new base.

so if we shouldn't use the rom manager in this rom to flash new versions, just use the recovery console option in the reboot menu?

Ok, I used the wipe data/cache feature in rom manager and it flashed the rom fine, no force close errors. The only problem I'm having is even though I have internet access and everything, I can't log into my google account, it says "can't establish a reliable data connection to the server." Is that a ROM issue or sprint issue? I haven't had any issues before...
EDIT: Ok, I got it figured out, thanks to a friend with some knowledge. Ok, so apparently if the phone won't sync with gmail or allow you to pair your phone to your email, if you open the youtube app and sign in (I had to hit menu > my channel for it to prompt me to login), provided you have your youtube account synced with your gmail, once you sign in to youtube it will then carry that over to your phone, and then your phone is synched to gmail. Worked for me! Hope this helps someone. Last edited by wizholt7; 01-05-2011 at 04:42 PM. Reason: Figured it out |

it's just my opinion not to use rom manager, just because of all the issues I've seen posted, but I also read that their latest version is better. Quote:

Ok, so I have another question. I am wanting to get NOVA on my phone, because I actually like that game a lot. I searched, and everything I got seems to be people trying to get rid of the game lol I purchased it prior to rooting my device, and I went on gamelofts website and it says my phone isn't supported, I guess only the Epic can get that now?? Idk, but they preload it on updated EVOs now, wierd. Do you have a apk file or something for NOVA? I didn't see it listed in the download you had of uninstalled apps on the first page.
