If its not broken, why break it?

like the other posts said, talking to Sprint reps will not do you any good cause these leaks came straight from HTC themselves, so Sprint will not have any ideas whats happening. And as of Net 4191 kernel he said it is beta and will have some issues. Hope this helps in decision making.

Those base apps in are /system/app.
First run
adb remount
in adb and that will make system writable. Then you can navigate there via Android Mate and remove them.
There are other ways like using adb solely to pull the files but this is easier IMO.

And this is where im weak...is there a noob guide on how to use ADB? im so lost in that department. and thanks for the response

Right click link and click "Save link as"

1) download
2) put on SD card
3) get ROM Manager from market
4) install rom from SD card
5) enjoy

In a nutshell.

OMJ-looks like you may need to get back into the kitchen soon:
NEW OTA OUT 9/22/10 - 3.29.651.5

Hopefully there's more to it than is listed in the link but even if not, item #3 is worth it! :headbang:

Of course since it says it's an OTA (if true) DONT accept it [-X

In a nutshell.

That is it in a nutshell-assuming you want to use ROM Manager but it does leave out a critical (IMO) step-wiping. While it may not be needed for every flash I would certainly say it is for the first flash. Factory reset 2X's and wipe Dalvik cache 2X's before flashing the ROM. You are able to do this from ROM Manager but there is some question as to whether Dalvik is wiped correctly from ROM Manager/Clockwork Recovery.
Which begs some questions-such as what recovery are you running and what ROM are you on now-stock rooted I assume? Do you have a lot of data/apps you want to take to the next ROM? You may want to back it up with an app like Titanium Backup (there are others)
Read the first few posts here:
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/htc-evo-4g...roms-wipe.html
It's mainly about the root process but the bottom of Post #2 covers flashing a ROM.

Just noticed that the ##775# to change prl no longer works. However, I did do the PRI 1.77_003 update. Any ideas on where the problem is coming from?
