I've seen this happen on a very rare occasion with VVM, on my wife's old Instink, her current Moment and my Evo maybe once. It's always been a temporary network issue for us. Quote:
So is it just a pure numbers thing (I dont have enough to matter) or is there some other feature I'm missing? |

Ok so my phone started having issues today. My phone keeps freezing especially when I'm going into my messages. The biggest thing that is happening is my phone is actually reseting itself. I'm not sure what could be the issue. I'm starting to think my phone has a virus. The last program that I installed was some type of friend app that I immediately unistalled. And also a 1001 and one ****tail app. So I'm thinking about going with an update to my kernal. My battery life is absolutely horrible. I have two classes that end about 2:00 but my phone will not last from 8 am till 2pm so I'm trying to figure out ways for my battery to get me thru the day. Of course I'm a heavy user. Maybe a very heavy user. Second my phone is stuck in a building that is used for a tornado bunker so my signal is of course terrible. I also you to chat apps and bluetooth. Am I being gready by thinking my phone should make it six hours without completely dying on me?

New Amon RA-Recovery v1.8.0 available for testing...has some nice features. Working fine from what I can tell on my EVO. :)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...&postcount=384 Jim For info...it will not show correctly in ROM Manager...will still show v1.7.1...and if you do a Alternate recovery in ROM Manager it reverts your v1.8.0 back to v1.7.1 He's going to have new version added to ROM Manager after testing. |

How many messages do you have? If you have A LOT of messages that could be causing a slowdown. Being in a bunker with poor reception could cause constant signal search which would definitely toast the battery-but again-was this your first time in that building? |

OMJ
Curious, what was the EPST fix you had in your changelog. I can't get EPST ##786# reset to commit the changes...have to pull the battery, which ultimately leads to bootloop when rebooting. Is it possible I've corrupted it somehow playing with the ##786# and ##3282# so often trying to get PRI 1.40 :( If so is there any fix. Saw this http://ip208-100-42-21.static.xda-de...d.php?t=737594 but not sure if safe to try. Jim |

OMJ:
Does v3 included support for Apps2SD in the boot image? |

EPST wouldnt work on Froyo till some smart feller had the idea to pull the one from Eclair and try it and it worked. Your issue of the changes not committing can happen with some devices. Try the 3282-same issue? After pulling the battery and rebooting do you see any indication of it trying to update you? If you are able to access the menu to make the changes then EPST works fine. As long as your device is functioning normally in all other aspects then you didnt mess anything up. The PRI update is based on luck and location. It doesnt matter whether you use 775 or 3282. ************************************************** ****************** The DroidX has some kick arse sounds! I'm in the sharing mood so I thought I'd pull the DroidX sounds from another ROM and post them up here for my peeps. All you need to do is unzip the media folder to your SD card and you should have the new tones as options for ringtones and notifications. I included one of my own chopped mp3's at no extra charge :headbang: Attachment 76609 |
