Muy excellente mi amigo!
(I have no idea why I'm on a spanish kick today, if I were any more white I'd be clear :D)
Batt life is killer, I won't be more specific because there are way too many variables across users. I'm running without Set CPU today and I'm very happy. I'll be surprised if you don't agree.

I know this sound silly but I'm starting to be convinced part of bootloop problem has to do with phone ram is retaining "memory" for a short period and pulling battery for at least a couple minutes (generally we're excited and in a hurry to fix things so we pull and put back battery in just seconds) helps drain this off so a reflash/restore then works fine....just my 2 cents. Don't jump on me folks...it just works.:headbang:

Jim

And wipes when appropriate...still required.

So I take it you would reccomend going to 8 instead of the 6 that is included with the newest ROM?

Based on the fact that I'm getting similar battery life without underclocking I'd say yes.
#6 is strong as hell though so either way you're golden... well in your case Canary Yellow.

Do you happen to have the link handy to King's new kernel (the one you are using.) the XDA site is SLOW as hell.. something is going on with it now.. I can't get in..

richarc93 08-31-2010 08:13 PM

Downloaded the latest OMJ v3.1 which I was going to update from v2.1.. I got a nasty error during the flash process.. never seen it before. Seems like the zip might be corrupt or sumtin. I remember sumtin about jit?? Which I've never heard of that error. I got V2.1 Deodexed and I wad gonna upgrade to v3.1.... I'LL try it again since I just did a Nand restore...

Sent from my Evo"Nator" using TapaTalk

EDIT: I tried it again but via ROM Mgr and it worked fine this time. I installed Riptide again and King BFS#8.. Charging 'er up now and gonna give it a go tomorrow morning to see how the new ROM v3.1 and king's #8 work together...

if you have not you must do a complete wipe...
start at 3.0 fist set it up and see if you like the setup and then just upgrade to 3.1 without wiping. Thats what I did andit worked for me cause I was getting some wierd hiccups that I never experience.
Oh one more thing make sure you have the udated radio and wimax also, just fyi
