Re: Obviously Stable ROM | Updated 12/25 | All Carriers | 21876 | 25MB PP Titanium/SP

I found twice yesterday that my phone was off in my pocket, not sure why. I installed lockdevice1.6 after that and it hasn't happened since, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=542482 .

I like having the time in the taskbar all the time, but that seems mutually exclusive with the battery indicator. I like both including the 1% increments on the power. Any chance you could make that happen?

In terms of leaning it down, do you notice any change in performance when you run things from internal storage instead of main? I would think ideally you would want to run as much as possible from internal storage (unless you see speed degradation due to differing access speeds) but of course that would mean they wouldn't be on the rom, probably sashimi installed to internal storage instead. I would think that could make a blazing fast system with massive free memory. I would therefore, leave out all the big programs you typically run and have cab's for windows live, bing, google maps, opera, even IE & office if you have cabs for them (I don't).

Have you tried bing3? I love the navigation feature, it's the only free talking navigation software I've found!

Just so I know, is this rom 6.5 or 6.5.x? It's been so long since I flashed, I'm so confused! I'm liking it though!

The only advantage I could think of is maybe a huger page pool if you install everything to the IS. I could probably remove a few things yeah but I would leave IE for sure and Office. And this is 6.5. I can make a 6.5.5 possibly. Who knows?

Re: Obviously Stable ROM | Updated 12/25 | All Carriers | 21876 | 25MB PP Titanium/SP

I'd give 6.5.5 a shot if you think it's pretty stable and not bleeding edge. I was used to the start in the bottom left from DRB's rom, I think it might have been 6.5.3 looking back. I do like the quickmenu upper right pulldown do close tasks and that was always hinky on DRB's rom, I do think that's a 6.5.x thing. I customized your 6.5 pretty quick with sashimi, so I'd give 6.5.5 a go. I'd love to try one without windows live, bing, google maps or opera installed so I can put them all on internal storage. I agree IE & office would be good to have on the rom (especially since I don't have cabs for them), as well as all the other goodies you had in the 6.5 like flashlight, spb screenshot, youtube, etc. But anything really big I'd rather run from internal storage if you have cabs for them.

No rush, this rom has been running smooth, since I put the lockdevice1.6 on, it has not again turned off in my pocket, so I guess it's just my pocket, not the rom! I have had a minor glitch or 2 where I couldn't get in to messaging or maybe something else too, but a soft reset fixed it up. Otherwise, looking and running well ! Thanx ! ! !

I cooked a 23506 and I know it's a slightly older SYS but man it fixed a few bugs I had on 6.5 that I put up. It's still got all the same apps so I gotta play "trim the apps" but it shouldn't be hard to put up. I think I dare say I'm actually happy with the way it turned out.

Sounds good. Just so I know, is that a 6.5.5 with just normal titanium, not sense or titanium 7, nothing fancy (I hope)!

If you can trim out the apps, that would probably be better, but I'm sure some people would probably take the one you have cooked already. I'm surprised no one else is commenting on this thread, are we the only ones still running diamonds ? I see other roms out there, but none sound very stable, most appear bleeding edge, not my style.

I'll probably just clean out a few apps and upload.

Just had a very minor glitch that I've had on some other roms, quickqps tried to automatically update GPS data and I got the message AppRunAtTime was not found. I can live with it, but would prefer if it automatically updated. Do you have a cab or can you include the module on the next rom?

you are easily amused, maybe I should do stand up!

So am I being stupid (hence the rolling on the floor), is there an easy fix for this or it just too minor for you to be bothered? It's hard to detect sarcasm in threads and text messages, I was trying to be helpful and perfect your kitchen, not trying to be annoying or troublesome.

I'm just a flashing diner, not a chef. Don't be too hard on me. I try and document what I find, we all do what we can !

No you're fine. I am a silly person. I have a very odd sense of humor. I'll look at fixing it as soon as I get a minute.
