1a. Would you be able/willing to make a cab installer for that Touch Input keybaord?

2. Is there a way to update SPB shell without re-cooking it? I tried to install a newer version and it didn't work.

3. Great rom! So far it's been very stable and good on battery life. Getting between 6 and 14 hours depending on my usage.
Sorry I missed your post.

1) I think it's called EzInput 1.5. A cab exists at XDA.

2) Maybe via cabs but it may take me updating. You could always use my Titanium ROM and cab install SPB.

3) Thanks.

But I will flash the 12-25 SPB and see if I can get the bug worked out.

Re: Obviously Stable ROM | Updated 12/25 | All Carriers | 21876 | 25MB PP Titanium/SP

I had the problem with the start menu when I was trying the different themes, I think it happened after I tried the Rock and Republic theme, then switched back to Flamerise. After that when I went back into the Start Menu it still had the Rock and Republic background. I couldn't actually see the buttons so I just had to guess based on location, and I changed the theme a couple times and then soft reset and it was fine.

Two things I've experienced, only once each, since I flashed this the other day:

I set new texts to vibrate the phone like i always do. Later that day I got a couple texts back to back and the phone would not stop vibrating. Required a soft reset. I've had that happen before a while back on another rom.

Last night I turned the volume/vibrate off like I sometimes do when I sleep. When I woke up I turned it back up. But I got a few texts and a couple calls and had no sound. Went into the Sounds and Notifications and tried to play a ring tone - nothing. Tried an mp3 - nothing. Checked the volume again - it was all the way up. Finally a soft reset fixed it.

I prefer the volume control that fills the whole screen and has horizontal bars in the middle of the screen, fwiw. (not sure what that one is called) It seems easiest to use.

I think an older build of 6.5 is in order but I'm trying to decide which one. It may fix a couple bugs.

Either check your Arcsoft settings or something. I don't know though and can't test as my phone isn't active.

Thanks. I'll try cooking a ROM with a little more older stuff and see what happens. It may be a couple days before you get a PM.

Re: Obviously Stable ROM | Updated 12/25 | All Carriers | 21876 | 25MB PP Titanium/SP

Well I finally manned up and flashed my phone, and I chose this one to use! I used the SPB Mobile Shell install, and so far it has been amazing.

I have only had 2 problems so far. The first was the already mentioned problem in the menu after messing with the Theme. I'm not sure what the default theme is, but I changed it to "Midnight" first, and it worked perfectly. Then I tried to flip to "None" and I got the streaking (even after soft reset), then I switched to "Black" and had the same problem after reset, so I flipped back to Midnight and it's working again. I've just left it on Midnight since and haven't tried changing it again.

The second problem was after putting my phone on the wall charger last night (I almost never charge via USB) when I woke up this morning and took it off the charger it was locked up and I had to use the reset button under the back cover. So far this morning it has been flawless and fast.

Hopefully this continues because I really love the new features!!

Thanks for your work!

Ross

Re: Obviously Stable ROM | Updated 12/25 | All Carriers | 21876 | 25MB PP Titanium/SP

Mr O

Based on all the conversation about theme impact on "smearing" decided to switch back from Glossy Black to Flamerise (ROM default)...start menu worked fine. Then tried Classic Blue, DVF Green, and even went back to Glossy Black...all work fine with start menu now...no smearing. Wierd!!

Sheez what a strange bug. I almost wonder if the 876 isn't stable. I may try 882.
