When I first started using 4 coming from 3.5 I didn't like it but if you give it a few days you'll realize that it is much better and quicker. Just my 2 cents.
I'm with lazyboy on this one. Personally not a fan of v4. Gave it a real try but nothing to me is better, just different or rather cleaner and friendlier for new users. The sliding shortcuts is partly what makes TouchPal superior. Even with the 3.5 layout for v4 you lose the up/down gesture. Much quicker than tapping to another layout than selecting numbers/symbols etc... Instead of changing everything around, I wish they just made a simple/advanced mode that you could enable/disable.

Anyway, I tried searching but couldn't get a clear answer. How is the status of MMS on this rom? Send with arcsoft, receive through outlook? Or all unified now?

On your new 28008 can you see if you can get titanium back to working as it was before or what the deal is with it?

Re: OMJ's | HTC Sense / Manila 2.5 | WM 6.5 / WM 6.5.x | 21870 / 23504 / 28002 | 12/0

great work OMJ..

Flashed 28005 but the keyboard kept freezing so went back to 28002. Everything's working great so far..just need help with a few small issues/questions.

1.) Did the clock thing ever get figured out? Everytime I go back to the home screen (from lets say the Start Menu), the clock flips twice to get to the right time. (for example, if the time is 2:35, it will first flip from 1:34 to 2:34 and then it will flip once more to 2:35). It gets annoying after a while.

2.) Any idea why the automatic weather update is not working? Sometimes manually hitting "Update Now" won't update the weather. Sometimes it works fine.

3.) Why does the email tab on the slider always show that I have 1 new email when all the messages are read? I've even cleared all the inbox/sent/deleted/drafts messages and started clean but the notification doesn't go away. I've attached a screenshot.

I appreciate your help!!

Thumbs up Re: OMJ's | HTC Sense / Manila 2.5 | WM 6.5 / WM 6.5.x | 21870 / 23504 / 28002 | 12/0

To the post above, you might be having issues but the clock thing doesn't really bug me.. IT still displays the time correctly.

Everything is working great for me.

One thing I have noticed is that sometimes programs or screens will not close by hitting the x sometimes you have to close them through menu > exit.

All seems working though and mms is fixed.

Thanks old man jenkins, you ****ing rock.

Thats actually default behavior (i.e they meant to do that). There is a fix if you don't want it to behave like that..
here is a cab fix (basically the same as manila 2.1 animation): manila_clock_no_animate.cab

edit: you may have to turn off manila before applying

yoops.. guess I attached the ext package too..

Here is the file to fix the clock flip, copy the rar to ypur phone annd extract with total commander to the windows dir on your phone. It will ask ya to overwrite the file hit YES. First you want to disable sense..goto start, settings, today settings, items and uncheck sense and hit ok. After you unzip and copy to the windows dir go back and recheck sense.

Do you have a city in the weather (not just my location), I have seen that you ned to have at least 1 city selected to have the auto update working. Ofcourse in the weather setting you have it checked to auto update.

2) the only way I get weather to update automatically on my rom is by choosing 'my location' for the weather and location in 'world clock'.

3) did you happen to setup activesync to sync a calendar, but not an email account? that got me awhile ago and i spent forever trying to figure it out. if you did, you need to go to activesync settings and add the email account for the calendar server. then delete the email and remove the email account under the activesync settings.

Heh i did the exact same thing last night.. took me almost an hour to figure it out.. Had to add both calendar and gmail, let it sync (which only sync'd gmail). Then delete gmail and let caldendar sync, then add gmail back again.. This was the only way I could get both to sync.

There's a patch for the sliding gestures. And most of the current ones are still available in 4
