I guess you'll be giving up making WM roms for diamonds and the like? I really enjoy your roms and it's going to be a long time before i can upgrade. NRG roms aren't what they used to be and I haven't found any roms I like as much as yours.

Congrats OMJ! That's great news. Wow, I'm starting to get excited about the EVO again, lol.... The renewed excitement is mainly due to the Froyo update finally adding Bluetooth voice dialing directly from a BT headset, and Sling being available for Android sometime this Summer. Plus, knowing the EVO is already rooted and should be able to be used as a hot spot, combined with the fact that you're already cooking up custom builds, are all huge positives. Cheers! That said, I had hoped we would have WiMAX locally by now or at least very soon. But, unfortunately, that's not the case. In turn, I may wait until 4G is here, and then see what's available at that time. Regardless, it's encouraging to know you're already on it.

Best to you and yours,
R

thanks....chances are, my Diamond roms are coming to an end. I'm not yet sure what I'm going to do w/ my Diamond, but leaning towards ebay.

I've been having problems with the "keypad" and "end call" button being concealed by the contacts/windows/menu bar at the bottom of the screen during a call.

To get to the keypad, I have to hit the uncovered top edge of the button which requires precision pushing with the tip of my fingernail. This is really problematic for calls to voicemail, banks, and other places that require numeric input.

I did not have this problem in the prior releases of OMJ's rom.

Is there a way to fix this?

One other thing: This ROM appears missing the METADATA folder used by Internet Explorer. On a fresh launch of IE, the missing METADATA folder causes the error message "Internet Explorer cannot download blank."
Do you try to add the METADATA to fix the problem?

With OMJ's kitchen, you should learn how to cook your own. It's not that difficult, just takes a little practice. Then you'll be able to take care of things after the mass exodus. Go for it!

OMJ,

Thanks for keeping my Diamond running nice and smoothly these past few months, unfortunately my Nexus One arrived a few days ago and I have been a bit preoccupied...

If anyone is with Bell (Canada eh!) and having mms issues these settings worked for me:

APN1
Name - Bell
APN - pda.bell.ca
Proxy - web.wireless.bell.ca
Port - 80
MCC - 302
MNC - 610
APN Type - default

APN2
Name - Bell MMS
APN - pda2.bell.ca
MMSC - http://mms.bell.ca/mms/wapenc
MMS Proxy - web.wireless.bell.ca
MMC Port - 80
MCC - 302
MNC - 610
APN Type - mms

Best of luck to the current diamond users and thanks again!
