Re: OMJ's | HTC Sense UI aka Manila 2.5 | WM 6.5 / WM 6.5.1 | 21870 / 23504 | 11/9/09

i have noticed the following on both 6.5 and 6.5.1 ROMS,

i am not able to add the favorite weblinks from opera or internet launcher tab on home screen.

i am also not able to add last two programs as quicklinks for home tab. i am able to add them manually in the registry.

I can only use 6 quick links on home tab. Please let me know if there is a way use all 9 quick links.

After changing the opera registry tweak, it opens is very fast (it was not hanging/crashing for me before). can you include the latest build of opera in your upcoming ROMS. Thanks again for the great work.

There are many versions of Opera Mobile, which can be added very easily post flash. Better to leave that to each individual. Also allows for easier OM updates.

Wow it sounds like some simple updates. I'm too busy now to implement the fixes so I will wait for you to update it I guess. lol

I'm actually not using the sprint picmail cab i posted... I'm using the attached arcsoft one for sprint that works great and threads your mms in your texts rather than setting them up in email like the sprint picmail does.

Can't remember where i got it in order to give credit though

I insatlled from a fresh flash but if you have already installed the Sprint Picmail cab and have trouble getting this to work check out this thread...

I have tried that cab as well and it worked too... the only reason i'm running the other one is that it looked newer by the number but who knows ... i couldn't really tell a difference in either of them

as I stated, I'm still working on the Internet tab favs....

the home page will only have 6 favs, Sense was made for WVGA, porting to VGA you lose 6 favs, as our screens are not as big

I'm not sure what is the latest version of opera, but the one in my rom is fairly recent

Good question... the answer is yes you probably will have to save but stumbled across another issue... the path is set to send to \storage card\ which we don't have ... you need to go into these reg keys and change 5 string values from "storage card" to "internal storage"

it's in HKLM\Software\Arcsoft\ArcSoft MMA\Config\Folder
edit the 5 string values ... GenericPath, PicturePath, RecordPath, SoundPath, and VideoPath ... change from storage card to internal storage.

Goona look at the cab and see if i can edit it. I'll repost and let you try it

Edit.. ok here's the deal, I don't have a cab editor so I can't just import the setup.xml that i edited for the JD cab but I did look closer at the other cab referenced in the other thread and it doesn't save to the storage card it saves to the main memory in My Documents\My Pictures, so... Here are your options

1. Use the JD cab and make the appropriate reg changes if you want the save location to be the internal storage ... \Internal Storage\DCIM\100MEDIA ect...
2. If you know how to edit the cab and can import the setup.xml i'm attaching into the JD cab it will put them in the internal storage as above and you won't have to make the reg changes everytime you flash
3. Use the Sprint Arcsoft MMS 5.0.82.79 cab I'm attaching (from the afore mentioned thread thanks to jaminmc) and it will store them in main memory

P.S. - If anyone with a cab editor can import this setup.xml into the JD cab and repost it that would be much appreciated
