Yes, only problem is it intercepts your MMS.

I guess my point is that maybe some people dont mind leaving arcsoft completely out if the official sprint picmail app will just work (even though 'just work' is laughable at times). So it intercepting your mms is desirable, no?

Sorry I was in a bad mood yesterday. I let it show and stuff. My apologies. I didn't mean to knock your work or nothing OMJ. Haha.

(1st) being this fix found here
http://www.ppcgeeks.com/forums/showthread.php?t=94155 the only problem with this is you get the notification of a new MMS but you can't view the pic from manila and it's a pane to get to archsoft.
(2nd) which is the one I'm using and find it the most user friendly is to install sMMS (directions found here http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=22509 . Yes, it's like going back in time but the program works very nice and there's a setting for it not to intercept your incoming MMS. So what I did was install this MMS fix cab (this allows you to recieve MMS through manila, you may already be able to recieve) which I've attached. And install sMMS. So now I get all my pics & text through manila and send MMS through sMMS.
I didn't make this fix or program and take no credit for them so thank the people that did.
fyi--installing this MMS fix cab will actually install an older version of HTC Messaging. All you need to do is setup your MMS server w/ these settings:

Server Name - SprintMMSC
Port - 80
Server address: http://mms.sprintpcs.com
WAP - none
Connect via - My ISP

but just as you said, this is just for receiving MMS through HTC, you'll still need another avenue to send

Right now getting all my settings back in order after the flash. So far everything appears to be working great (21870)!

Is the sprint pic mail cab inside the Sprint Extras? Does it install all the other sprint stock apps? All I want is the picmail and nothing else but I'm afraid to click on the icon in the system tools folder cuz u know - sometimes it just installs without asking where, etc. Tryin to keep this as clean as possible, 'nah mean?
