I then took the battery out and it seem like it was back to normal, but when I tried changing the themes again the icons in the menu screen gets messed up again(icons overlapping). Is this a known bug? I'll try reflashing to see if it happens again.

update: After reflashing it did it again. If you try changing the themes a few times in a row the icons in the menu screen will over lap each other and when you scroll up and down you'll see a slow drag of overlapping icons on the display screen. Any idea what could be the cause?

I know what you are referring to, but I'm not sure what is causing the issue. I thought it was due to the sys I was using at the time, 21867, so I upgraded to 21870, tested & could not replicate.

So just now I switched to every theme, and could not replicate, so I'm not sure why you're seeing that. Maybe flash my manila rom, just disable manila & use Titanium.

Should be here tomorrow hopefully... How's that for timming!

While contemplating I had looked over here in the Diamond forums to see if you were around since you jumped from the Touch and didn't see ya anywhere

Quick question... Have you jumped over to the PPCK or are you still running it old school and modifying the shipped rom?

What's up RSTOYGUY! Good to see you too! ... really does seem like old times back in the 6900's lol
Thx Vancer, good to see ya in the Diamond forum! I have moved to the Visual Kitchen, it's pretty nice. And no, I've finally migrated away from the sprint shipped roms and started using newer sys'.

actually I'm using my own hybrid of VK. it's a combination of Calkulins, Indagrooves & MightyMikes, which none (at the time) had the SYS I'm using...I added that...

thanks
fyi---if you have a decent EV signal, use Internet sharing & download using your phone.

It should work fine for Alltel, though I am using Sprint carrier settings. You may need to run the Alltel carrier cab after flashing.....I would suggest it anyways.

omj:

thanks, I would love to just use the phone to download it, but I use my diamond on an alltel prepaid plan and I don't have any data, they don't offer a data plan (not a smartphone one anyways) for prepaid

I would love to find a data only plan that I don't have to sign a contract for and then I would just use my old flip phone for phone calls (I do more internet then phone)

the icons are: opera, task manager, facebook, youtube, and comm manager

i even tried moving the opera back from my internet folder to the main one, and instead of overwriting the pre-existing one, the phone shows two opera links. weird. any ideas on how to fix this?

thanks in advance!

this may be it....change the dword to 0 & try again, or back up the reg keys 1st then delete.

Thanks Buddy!

As you know I'm no where near the chef that you are! ... but I've come a long way since my beginnings with DogGuy's kitchen and my Vogue which you helped me TREMENDOUSLY with! Actually got to the point of modifying the PPCK and adding different SYS's, making OEM's, etc... Now I guess I'm going to have to learn this Visual Kitchen you refer to and I don't even have my phone in my hands yet! hehe

Question... I know that you can't modify a custom rom when it's cooked with the PPCK like you could with a rom cooked with DogGuy's... I'm wondering if I will be able to modify your rom since you are making it with this Visual Kitchen? Not that I'm sure your rom won't be slick... you know i just like to learn this stuff and tinker with my own stuff and I always loved taking your roms as a base to remove and add to

Thanks for the warm welcome to the Diamond!
