Welcome back OMJ! I've been wanting to jump to the Diamond for months now but hadn't because Sprint still wanted too damn much money for it, but I just got a guy on the phone today that worked out a deal with me that was acceptable. Should be here tomorrow hopefully... How's that for timming!

While contemplating I had looked over here in the Diamond forums to see if you were around since you jumped from the Touch and didn't see ya anywhere

Quick question... Have you jumped over to the PPCK or are you still running it old school and modifying the shipped rom?

Hey Vancer ... welcome aboard. I think OMJ is mostly using Calkulin's kitchen, but with that special touch only Ken can do. I think most of us are biding our time, enjoying the new stuff being adapted to our Diamonds, and waiting for a mass migration to HD2, if Sprint will bring it. Anyway, looking forward to seeing around ...

Figure i can try to get some of my questions answered ahead of time so I'm not sitting here twiddling my thumbs...

As you know I'm Sprint as well so which radio do you recommend/are you running on this phone?

Great ROM. So far ran into two problems though:
1) Youtube isnt working for me.
2) I can't seem to switch back to the traditional sms in poutlook. Not sure if its related, but when viewing a new msg in the manila tab, the number bubble disappears as normal, but the sms icon in the top tray remains.

No sense bothering with the upgrades, if you're planning to run a custom rom. Just unlock and you're good to go. I would keep a copy of the "shipped" rom close by, just in case.
