How can I manually add items to the programs menu? another rom I used but don't like compared to this one, you could load up file manager, select the program you want to put in the start menu and select something like add to start menu...

or am I just missing something?

I'm not sure what program that is, maybe ReStart? I've never used.....check the other rom's thread maybe it's listed in the list of apps.

Just use File Manager Nosey and go to the Program Files folder and find the specific app you want, hold tap it and select copy, then go to \Windows\Start Menu\Programs and push Menu->Edit->Paste Shortcut. You may wanna rename it to the app instead of Shortcut to app.

Hi,

I'm still using your rom as it seems to be the version I still need (6.5) and has a lot of the features I like. However, I've noticed a few small annoyances, I was wondering if anyone could look at the attached images and tell me if they see the same, or if it's something I did to mine.

Also, I want to upgrade to the new release, do you think it's advisable to use something like SPB backup and restore my data or just take the extra time to reinstall/reconfigure everything? I guess I can just try it, I can reflash if there are problem, I"m just wondering if anyone else had experience with doing that, especially with this rom.

PS: Thanks for the tip regarding the boot screen. I had no idea it was that simple. I bet that tip was probably somewhere else in the forums, but I get overwhelmed pretty easily here, so much information and so little time.

I believe the alignment pix you posted are the same....that is very minor, try not to let it bother you, lol.

I use PIM backup, which is included in the rom.

2.1......2.5 is just the omj version....check my other thread for manila 2.5

Strange situation here, even after several reboots it was doing it but then all the sudden after one restart it was aligned ok. But soon after my phone just started rebooting and generally not working. I don't think it was your ROM, more likely something I installed on top of it. I went ahead and flashed to the latest version you posted and it seems to have fixed it.

Well I'm not worried about my contacts or any of that because I use google sync and that's the easiest part. I was more interesting in not having to reinstall some of the essential apps I use, like Sling Player and a few others. I will probably experiment with using a backup next time, but I needed a clean flash this time.
