I have also tried Juicy's ROM and SSK ROM, along with Caulkins ROM too. So far it is between you and Juicy, but the Second today glitch has me stumped.

Or you could just never go to secondtoday...

If the consensus is that Second Today is not something y'all want, I can remove it from the ROM.

Being that it is an easily cab installed item, i would like to request its removal on the grounds of saving memory and the intrusive nature of the program. Thank you.

That said, i flashed the latest version on my drive to work today and, so far, i like it a lot. However, the first thing i did at a stop light was remove the showcase. Cool concept, poor execution at this point. Other than that, kudos, my brother.

I think there is something in the Rhodium 2.1 that is breaking this. I haven't been able to find a cause yet but I'm still working on it.

just wanted to say thanks to verkion for the missing-calendar-events solution from earlier - I had the same problem. it's a bit annoying, though, because I'm actually *not* in the United States so I'd like to have the right regional settings :) thanks a lot for the fix though!

I am toying with the idea of a Titanium only version, but it is going to take a while as I am going to want to customize the graphics (that a shock, I know... :-D). Does anyone happen to know if the standard HTC slide to answer dialer works with the 6.5 lockscreen yet? I know the stock MS dialer works best, but I hate the caller id pop up when the screen is not locked.

hi Gadget, I dont think it has been fixed since everyone seemed to move to the tachi dialer. it wasnt a deal breaker though. I agree the stock 6.5 dialer is butt ugly.

You can't add t9 to the fingerkeyboard but you can install a 2nd sip of your choice that has this, and sipchange to make it your primary keyboard.

By the way, rom is running great. Used the cab your provided to enable the htc task manager. So far so good. I do agree about Opera. the older versions particulary 15613 are much better and quicker rendering pages. It seems like the newer ones have added some ui enhancements but are slower. Also, they are made for phones without a scroll wheel so you lose some more capabilities. Also, 9.7 builds dont allow you to save to internal storage. If you try to it creates an internal storage folder in device memory which is no good. hopefully they will improve.

Your sip is your keyboard ... just add one that you like for your secondary keyboard. The changer just allows it to be your default, which will survive a soft reset.

Re: 10-16 | ROM | WM 6.5 | Rhodium 2.1 || GadgetROM v1.5 || 21867 || CDMA

noticed one oddity with this ROM: I usually input my contacts' phone numbers in international format (so +1(areacode)(number) for US/Canada numbers) so that if I ever have to call them internationally, it'll work. I've never had a problem with this before. However, with this ROM, when I call a contact whose number is entered in this fashion, my carrier thinks I'm actually dialling international and blocks the call. Any idea why that would be different on this ROM from others? Is there a registry setting or something that changes this? Is it related to having to change regional setting to fix the calendar? thanks, anyone who knows...

hi gadget/everyone,

first off, great ROM! i just bought a new touch diamond and this is by far the best rom i've come across for my usage (short of cooking one up myself, an idea i'm still toying with...)

i just had a quick question though, i'd like the power button to lock the screen rather than sleep(?) the unit, is there a way of doing this? i did a few searches and all i could come up with was using a shortcut to point to a locker app, but if i'm correct (and i may not be) this ROM uses the default windows lock. any ideas?

edit: i just tried the AutoLock setting in DiamondTweak, didn't do the trick.

Which keyboard are you looking to install? There are ones that are more like the stock keyboard that came with the phone (htc ezinput 1.5 variety) or the newer htc ezinput 2.0 and 2.1 keyboard sets that are mostly full qwerty versions. by the way, no keyboard is going to break your device. its just that you need to properly install them. the good thing is GF doesn't have an HTC keyboard installed so you don't need to close the sipgt-app.exe process to change out one HTC sip for another.

** this is the htc keyboard that closely resembles the original one. Cab for Diamond\Touch Pro EzInput (v1.5.32437.0)

Thank you so much! I'll install it in a bit after I make sure I get things across. All I want is a T9 keyboard. I'd prefer something more like what the Sanyo phones had like the PM-8200 or the M1, but that's probably not gonna happen. The HTC one isn't bad, but if there's a better T9 keyboard, I'd love to hear about it before installing this cab.

I have to say that after trying all possible custom ROMs, this is the best. The only thing that needs to be cooked in is 'Fast battery charger'. I have tried installing the nueBatery but it totally messes up the system and you have to hard-reset device. Any plans to incorporate that in you next release?

I think I found a workaround for the SMS name suggestion not showing up, well if you use the Diamond Tweak in the SIP tree I set the Automatic Display to enable and also the T9 Mode to enable, restart device and SMS name suggestion worked... hope this helps someone! Great ROM by the way! just wish there was more tweak stuff in the 'System tools' folder like in EnergyROM

Great rom.

Speed - Great.
Aesthetics - Great.
Features - Great.
Stability - Good.

There's just a couple things that can make this ROM great for me:

- Configure Showcase to keep programs running rather than close them.
- Configure a hardware button to bring up the Showcase Manager.

If those two things could be worked in through regedit or cab I think this ROM would be a bout perfect (for me).

Great work Gadget, once again you've created a great ROM.
