Introducing GadgetROM.


I’ve been building my own ROM now for several months, and now that I have it all polished and all of the graphical conversions done that I wanted, I’ve decided to go public with it. Please don’t beat me up too badly… ;-)

Rhodium 2.1 by yozgatg is the default interface. The Titanium Today interface is not included at this time.

11-30-09: 2.00 Is ready to go!

Thanks to Kamill and Sponge_Worthy at XDA, I've applied a couple of the Compact Manila fixes to the Internet Tab and E-Mail (I'm still tweaking the e-mail one...)

I am also looking at adding the Tachi Dialer back, as the Rhodium is just giving me all kinds of graphical headaches. I've made a few tweaks to it and I have had no dialer related crashes or slow downs for the last week.

Due to Calkulin's hard work, you no longer need to flash to your carrier's shipped ROM prior to flashing to this ROM. You are now free to flash to your heart's content! (I did 14 flashes in 48 hours and did not have so much as a single hiccup)

To get the Weather in your Calendar, make sure you have set your city in the world clock, and in the Weather tab.

If you have Sashimi, (and if you don’t, why not????), just drop the Sprint TV, Sprint Picture Mail, and Sprint Navigation cabs into the Auto/Cab/SD file so they install on your internal memory.


I am not responsible for any damages done to your device! I recommend flashing to stock before my ROM to ensure a safe boot up.

the file is damage, im trying open the file with winrar and 7z.

looks really good Gadget, ill try it out this weekend.
Does it have the drag and drop start icons? I hope so, I love that option.
Also, whats the free memory after flash?

You should have around 50mb free after flashing. Can you post a link to the drag & drop start menu? I haven't seem that one yet.

The drag and drop start menu is actually 6.5.1 i think, but i also Thought it was in the 23xxx builds? So really im not sure, lol.
I know its been in the past few nrg ROMs but im not sure what builds he is using?
Its really nice though, you click and hold on the icon and drag it to wherever you want.

Hey gadget i can host your roms, i can set you up with an account on my ftp, i have unlimited storage and bandwidth!
Also i converted your taskbar to 6.5.1 if you want the oem hit me up. I just dont have the dropdown icons customized yet, im working on that today.

Also i can send you the file so drag and drop works in 23017, it allows you to tap and hold on an icon in the start menu, and drag it to where you want, basically it lets you organize your start menu.

BTW great looking rom!

Love the gadgets, interface and customization.

Mobadi and second today are cool additions

having problems with setting up hotmail or windows live.. "WLMlauncher cannot be opened"

You'll have to install WLM as a cab. Live search/Bing is included, but WLM is not. My reasoning is that this is something that is an end user choice to use. And since I like to install as much as I can to Internal storage, it just didn't make sense to include it in the rom.

it is a great looking rom and i am definitely diggin' it, however, is it just me, or everyone else experiencing with icons in 'programs' being too big and they are out of screen and not lining up right?

I've noticed the Programs tab has the 4 row and they seem too big to fit in the screen.

Also, after using Wm 6.5.1, I really prefer the X to be down low and NOT in the upper right. ;)

Otherwise, this is the most beautiful ROM I've used in a looong time.

I noticed that the 4 program across layout is slightly lower but I much prefer it to have the additional programs listed. The slider bumps into to it a little but I also noticed this with the 3 across layout so this is common from what I can see.

It's excellent. Rom is quick and stable. Great theme as well. taskbar needs some work though :) just kidding. No lockups or issues that I can see. texting works perfect, dialer works well. This rom is pretty much final already!

things I would like to see are a clean rom added to the series so we can add our own programs(for those of us that don't use footprints, fmradio, spb screenshot, different jbeds, etc) and . maybe swapping out the Opera for the latest 9.7 build on xda. But I'm cool using this one so either way.

Just flashed this from Groove5. It will take a little getting back to manila but very nice ROM. The theme is great!!
