That's strange that it is doing that to you though, as I have not had that issue at all. I am going to see what I can find out though, and I am going to check and make sure there is nothing that is included with my public release that could be causing that. The version on my phone is subtly different that what I posted.

The appointments disappearing? Check if you changed the regional settings from english (USA) to something else...if you did, that's the problem. Change it back to English (USA) and all will be fine.

Right on the spot. But I did the regional change on other roms, never had this problem before?

BTW, anyone has a working Sprint TV cab? Tried several different versions (including the one attached in this thread), all give me "cannot connect to server" error.

I had this problem with a tonne of 6.5.1 roms and couldn't figure it out until I read in Calkulin's ROM thread, the solution...its massively buried though. :-P

Glad it worked for you too!

Re: 10-1 | rom | wm 6.5 | Rhodium 2.1 || GadgetROM v1.5 || 21859 ||Sprint, Telus & Al

I have a question about which program to use to add cities to the weather. I have tried two programs that I have used with other roms (HTC Weather Master Rhodium 2.2 and JVHJ PPC Manilla 2.1 Weather). The first one corrupted the database causing the weather tab to restart TF3D every time it was selected. The second I could not get to work, every time I tried to add a city it reported an error.

Can someone guide me to a program that works with this rom and any special instructions if necessary?

GREAT ROM !!!!!

Cheers

I tried the rom I might have done something wrong but it kept booting up and then go thru the setup with hitting the targets and loading the software programs reboot and it just got stuck in the loop again and again doing the same thing the targets and starting up loading the programs and rebooting again. I couldn't recover the diamond and it wouldn't flash I did enter bootloader and flashed to stock. read in the stickys on the how to's it will tell you a way to fix a phone that won't flash.

It's best to flash the shipped rom for your carrier before flashing a custom ROM. Many people have had the problem of it hard resetting every time you reset and flashing to a shipped ROM fixes/prevents it. You need to flash the shipped rom that also flashes your radio (ie it's an .exe most of the time, not an .nbh).

If I knew why and how, I'd love too. Guys there is going to be a little hiatus with the rom. This flu think has really got me beat down. I'll research the issues that have come up and see if I can find some answers for you but it's going to take a bit of time.

take it easy Gadget, getter better. Besides the dialer bug that was mentioned has been in every rom I have tried with tf2.1. I guess if you managed to get to your address book, selected the person you want to call, and dialed it, seeing it on the screen is less important because it still calls the contact. Im sure its being worked on by the tf2.1 teams out there.

Does this rom include the battery hacks? It may be my illusion as I've never used a battery meter with accuracy in 1%, it feels that the battery drains a bit faster in this rom than all my previous roms such as mighty6 and juicy 8.

hhey there, tried your Rom, pretty sweet!
A few things I noticed...
Got a white box where the Sprint logo was that wouldnt go away.
Froze up on me last night while charging, got to 98% then that was it.

Oh, and I cant get the setting right to stay lit up while on a call. I think I figured out the rest of it.
All in all, I really like it so far, good work!

No. But, in the first post is a CAB for sprint picture mail. You can search around if you want arcsoft mms :)

BTW just want to commend you gadgetfreak. This is by far the fastest ROM I have used in terms of just overall fluidity and smoothness in tf3d.

One request, can you cook MortScript into your ROM? Takes up very little space (under 200kb) but then I can use things like sashimi right out of the box without having to install it separately :)

just wanted to say thanx for the ROM... so far its really fast and smooth and pretty much bug free... it was missing a few things im use to in other ROMs but it only takes a few minutes to load them... love the second today screen and the WiFi Router in com manager....i didnt realize it was there and was going to load my own...

also, ive tried a lot of different ROMs, every one has good points and bad points (mostly due to user preference), but with all of them my GPS was always sketchy, sometimes it worked instantly, sometimes it took 30 seconds... and sometimes it would time out....
but with yours, the few times ive tried it in the past few days, i get atleast 9 sats locked in Gmaps in less the 5 seconds, every time.... any idea why it would be different with your ROM?
Thanx again for a great ROM

Thanks! I'm not sure what I did different to make the GPS work so smoothly, but I'm not complaining. I am looking at the 21864 sys now and a few other tweaks. Now that I am back on my feet though, work has been keeping me hopping. So I hope to have an update out by the weekend.

Gadget, this ROM is fantastic with one drawback though. The battery drains twice as fast as all the previous ROMs such as mighty6, juicy8 and stock. Do you experience the same?

This morning I got it off the charger on 9:30am with 100%, did not make a single phone call, only read about 20mins ebook on Haali reader, then majority of time in standby, now at 3:31pm, I have only 46% left. Previously one charge held about 2 days for me with my normal usage (a few short calls, web and ebooks). Now it's a bit too fast. I remember two days ago, I charged it overnight with the phone shut off, got it off the charger and powered it up, when it loaded up everything I got 93% power left which means a single power up used up 7% of the battery?

That's actually a limitation of the 1% battery read. The first 10% are just not that accurate according to everything I've ever read. This has been an issue for a while. I am looking to see what could be causing the additional drain though, just in case there is something interacting in an unexpected way. If anyone has any ideas, please let me know!

yep, the battery reading from 100 - 90% is useless, probably why the oem battery icons don't show percentages. The latest Calcu kitchen has additional battery tweaks which I'm sure you have seen like the one that polls for rotation less and i know he uses the battery polling fix setting it to check battery levels much less but enough not to show big drops. In any event, I did not notice a big draw in battery performance, not anything out of the ordinary that is. thanks Gadget. good to hear you are feeling better!

Kinda strange in my case then. I have set the backlight in auto mode, max range is in lower half of the capacity. No push internet, no programs running in the back. Did not manually input any reg edit for battery as I thought it's already included.

But I also noticed that the battery indicator may be off, now it's 9:39pm, I still have 28% left after two-three phone calls, 10 min~ web and ebook. Looks like the numbers dropped faster, but it slowed down when at lower level (say from lower than 30% of the full charge, the number of % changes slower). Any way to calibration the battery?

P.S: I do notice that from time to time the data connection was turned on somehow when I wake up the phone, but there's no application running for data connection though. I linked the facebook account in Manila contacts though.
