nrg and setix roms have it working good. never encountered the problem mentioned. its a clutch feature of manila 2.1 and would complete this rom. but i think u cud also hold off for manila 2.5 and see how that integrates into it? maybe posting up a test rom as well...

Both the wife and I are now using 1.95. All seems to be working well. I haven't tried Google Maps, as I installed Bing. I would like to know if anyone is having trouble with that, since I previously did. My wife's problem with the Start menu not painting correctly has not reappeared, although she has not Diamond Tweaked anything.

As I said before, really solid and well performing rom with unique, meaningful icons. I'm donating now.

fwiw I'm not a huge fan of the 'gps weather' (htc location) thing, when I was running energy I had rather odd results with Google Maps GPS which might well have had to do with it, and I'm not sure it's a great idea from a battery life POV either. but that's just my personal opinion, don't take it too seriously, I'm no great expert.

Hope this is still of some use regarding my problem with Google maps. Looks like it was a common problem among many different phones and carriers. You can look at

for all the dialogue going on. Seems like one of the recommended solutions was to flash the latest radio from sprint: v1.12.34F_D. Bing is working wonderfully with this radio. Will try Google maps and will report on shortly.

Hey Gadget, nice ROM you have here just been trying it out. I'm actually using 1.7 for now since I heard a there were a few problems with 1.9. I'll wait for reports with 1.95.

I had been using NRG roms which were good, but they seemed to have gotten quite buggy. So I had to search around for something better and ran into yours. Everything works great! Thanks!

Can anyone comment on using the sprint picture mail cab that gadget provides on this thread vs. using an arcsoft one? Thanks in advance for the info you provide.

Ya, the GPS Weather doesn't work for me in other ROMS, I'd definitely prefer to have/keep it excluded. It's not difficult to add a city, takes 2 seconds and you don't have to do it very often, if at all.

Keep the ROM stable/fast like you are Gadget, love it.

Stability still stellar after 24 hours after flashing. Still noticing a significant battery drain, however, even after running the Savings cab. Any suggestions?

Generally very stable for both my wife's and my phone.

My wife did experience one problem. When she enabled TouchFlo 3D on SecondToday, it completely locked up her phone. Soft resetting did not fix, so ultimately we had to reflash.

There was also the other problem on 1.9 when she Diamond Tweaked her settings and was causing the start screen to not scroll properly; it was leaving "ghost images" of the icons and titles.

One thing that has cropped up on occasion is that very issue of ghost images after the theme has been changed. It seems to be something with 6.5 itself as I have had that happen before on other ROMs. Let me look into that. And yeah, I don't know that second today could handle something as large as Manila/TF3D 2.1...

I love the ROM. I am having one issue. I don't know if it is ROM caused or phone caused. I keep getting "Cause Code 96" while attempting to text out to another party. Have you heard of this yet?

OK, my wife and I have now been using 1.95a exclusively since it came out with absolutely no problems. It is is by far the best one we have used in terms of stability and functionality. Seems to me Gadget has made all the right choices in terms of the sys, apps, etc. I can hardly wait to see what is done with Manila 2.5. I'm sticking with Gadget as a tester/user.

I definitely think it's solid Gadget. The new outlook enhancements slow down message viewing a bit but I guess that's expected. I have seen a couple minor things but nothing major, like the keyboard icon not disappearing but thats small potatoes. Thanks again.

How do i find wich prl i am using with this rom, i normall go to settings, device information. but the prl is no longer listed. i need to check for a hybid prl being forced to my phone to fix roaming issues.

One issue: When using pic gallery, controls are in landscape mode, i.e. as if you are holding your HTC landscape-oriented.

Any plans to pre-install nue battery charger with fast charge toggle?

1. I think Gadget did this on purpose because each time you view a folder it saves a album cache to device memory costing you a ton of memory. Best thing to do is grab the the wallpapers you use normally, and copy and paste them into internal storage/my documents/my pictures. then they will be viewable and can be selected by going to tf settings>wallpaper. hope this helps.

I love the look of the ROM and the feel of the function. I too am getting a error code 96 when text messages don't send correctly. I never answer phone calls so when someone is calling the mute button doesn't respond. I cannot set up email accounts on the account of the WLMlauncher..and I tried installing windows live essentials but it didn't work either. The album doesn't quite work right either. I am considering flashing to the stock rom just so I can use all my phones features but I really like to style of the gaget rom.

Yes, but it was ported and repackaged for Diamonds. Also, wmdunn has reported using it and liking it. I think that is where I got it from. Check out...

I have one question. In 1.9, if you have 100 texts with someone and want to click on the texts to send them something, it will scroll through all 100 messages before you're allowed to see the last text sent/received and text back.

I've been wanting to try out this rom. Can someone comment on the speed? Any lag issues? I'm still on a 6.1 ROM after having some slowness issues with 6.5 ROMs. Wondering how this ROM stacks up on that end.

Downloaded new rom--but major problems--I can't download my Windows Live mail even with installing the WL Cab file. My phone is running horribly slow and the battery is just terrible. I liked the 1.7 rom-it was awesome but this one I'm having a hard time with. I flashed to stock first and hard reset device. Can someone please help?

Wasn't SecondToday just a way to turn off stuff in your Today screen and rearrange it? I really liked that functionality. Did it move somewhere else?

just flashed by internal storage (at work/on mac so no active sync)...

i'm experiencing the phone locking up after restarts... installed facebook that requires a restart and phone never reboots...

The other thing I noticed is the good-looking dialer is gone (or the phone canvas, where we used to have the same background black pix as all other tabs). Now it looks like the stock dialer with white background which looks kinda ugly. Is there a way to bring that back, I mean the phone canvas?

Auto rotation is still not working on my phone. Not opera, not any application even if I configed it in G-config.

And did you by chance to use a different base rom instead of the v1.9 for the modification of 1.95? From the "device info", it says Gadgetrom 1.8, and I also noticed that my Opera is still 9.5 17628 instead of the 9.7 listed in rom 1.9.

And I have to report some of the bugs on 1.95 too. Coming from 1.5, I feel 1.95 has more bugs.

1. the update PRL/Profile did not work. Click on the icon, nothing happened. I tried to install the cab of sprint prl/profile update which I used for other universal carrier roms, still no go.

2. Opera 9.5 (not 9.7 as listed) opened up ppcgeeks.com failure (ironic). Every time I tried to open the homepage of ppcgeeks.com, it loaded the graphics/texts gradually and then shut itself off suddenly. Clicked on the task manager, and Opera is not there, so it was indeed shut off while opening up the webpage.

Gadget, would you please check into this?

I'm having a problem with the calendar. It shows my appointments for a second but then they disappear. Any reason why? I used PIM Backup to save my appointments from my previous ROM so I thought this might be the problem. But I added a new appointment and it did the same thing- it appeared for a second, then disappeared.
