^^ whats in cab 3 I wonder, if you could omit it out of the config.txt or borrow it from another rom?

Not sure but,
I think that may be Opera 10, this may be missing since NRG decided to cook with Opera 9.7 for this Dec 2 version. So it may be OK to omit it out of config.txt,

couple things

1) have you considered cooking a 21882 sense 2.5? ( I think the sys is a little better with regard bugs, battery life, look than 21877)

2) does your sense 6.5 have 12 program tabs? ( Im not sure but I think your 21864 sense 2.5 had 6 blocks)

Just flashed your 21877 Dec 2m2.5 lite and on customizing after the flash it gives an error "\windows\3.cab does not exist" Had to soft reset using ye olde battery take out and replace, and then sense 2.5 loaded, not sure what that affected so far but just wanted to let you know.

Actually I do not see Opera at all,
I had to do the same as Orange kid after flash - remove battery to reset.
Google maps, Opera - absent in the 28008 TF2.5 - Dec 2 version
there is plenty of memory left over (almost 30MB storage, 100MB program free)

I still think 3.cab was related to Opera, not sure

actually 3.cab has been gone from all builds since over a month ago... there are only 1.cab and 2.cab which sets some things in the registry plus some ringtones and backgrounds and such... and 4.cab which actually installs inbox exetention thingy... i forgot the name...
i think the 3.cab that did show up in some of the last versions did nothing... in actually sure it did nothing. it actually had on it the title"nrg dummy" and if u looked inside the cab there was no files or regedits., so like i said.. nothing...
technically u can leave out all the cabs and fix the config.txt and everything will still work. the only thing u might notice is that the start screen still has the square on it like like in first boot... and that the keyboard will auto launch cuz he cancels it in the registry. and the obvious 2 ring tones..
btw... i might have gotten the cab number wrong... but thats all that they have it them all together for sure.

also... if anyone wonders... 21877 2.5 is has not been cfc compressed... and for me sms tab is not working.

Hrm...anyone having difficulties with SMS messages not being delivered? They sit in the Outbox and never get sent. Any ideas/solutions?

As Orangekid mentioned in his post above , just soft reset and you should be good to go.

It didn't seem to have any ill effect, just soft reset you should be fine.
