Thanks for the replies. Will do some research on the htc apps.

Don't know how checking or unchecking boxes in BuildOS could cause a battery driver to go missing, though I'll start over with a new copy of all your files, use the BuildOS defaults, and go a step at a time. This time, I'll find the file that executes the taskbar icon cab and edit it, instead of just deleting the cab.

If there's an Office problem in 21840, perhaps other problems like a battery driver?

The battery driver is part of the Rev A battery icons in my kitchen...leave it checked.

23028 is amazing. background is perfect, menu scrolling perfect, new colored taskbar shows when u tap..pretty darn stable, awesome.

Ahh ... that would be it, I unchecked it. It should probably not be unselectable, then. I'll delete the option.xml.
