I'm curious, are you cooking in my kitchen or in Calcu's? The 21728 and 21806 setups you used on your phone - were either of them the rom that I made?

Cooking in Calku's kitchen, actually. I popped your SYS in it and resolved some conflicts. I'll try your ROM when I have time later.

Does your WMP bite memory though? If so, how much?

mine does( use the ultralite kitchen((ultra OEM/Reese SYS). i even installed audiomanager, it doesnt eat as much memory, but makes the phone lag....weird i know.

i have the camera issue still, where i get the black screen when it starts up. i traded OEMdriver folders with Groove and Ultra ( even though i think they are basically the same) and i still have the issue most times.

does the messagening window take a little longer to close than others for anyone? (had this issue for the last few systems, not a big deal, just curious)

thanks for all the work on the sys's!

I don't use WMP ever so I really couldn't answer that question. My fix for WMP is in the OEM's of my kitchen tho. Its just a simple regedit that someone here gave me - I can't remember who tho... it might be listed on the first page.
Code:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\MediaPlayer\Preferences]
"LocalCacheReserve"=dword:04000000
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\MediaPlayer\Preferences]
"LocalCacheReserve"=dword:04000000
Try it out and see how it works for you.

Edit: I found who gave me this tweak - http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.p...postcount=3613
Thanks again vin255764...

Re: 6/9/09 - ROM | Kitchen | SYS - WM 6.5 21731,21806 - Generic | All Carriers -

It seems they were set to 0x02000000 by default. I set them to 0x04000000 and memory usage dropped by about half. I'll try upping the value some more and see if there's any improvements and drawbacks.

Edit: WOW. I set them to 0x10000000 and memory usage dropped to less than 2MB. Amazing. I did test for long though, so I don't know if there are any drawbacks to setting it so high. Can anyone else test this and report?

Re: 6/9/09 - ROM | Kitchen | SYS - WM 6.5 21731,21806 - Generic | All Carriers -

Hey Reesey
I've been using 21806 for a few days now, and I'm noticing that with this ROM and with 21731 that every once and a while, the phone seems to freeze, then come back. I haven't been able to figure out what causes this. It doesnt really turn the phone off, but more like makes it unresponsive to any input (screen or buttons).

Is anyone else finding this?

I haven't really noticed it... other than in texting with xT9 enabled.
