Actually last night I had circumvented all my issues by running HTC Tweak and playing with the settings. (edit) I managed to solve the small issue I had this morning and I can say things are running pretty smoothly, except Youtube that doesn't work but I don't use it anyway. Re: [ ROM ] [ CDMA ] [ VICTOR ] [ 05.24.09 ] [ Windows® Build 21234 ] MightyROM5
Thanks rileyd5, I'll check it out for sure!
There is one little thing that I can't get my head around: I did a hard reset yesterday because I had played around too much with the ROM, but before I did that I had found an setting to assign hardware button actions, and to get vibrate feedback from a button press. No believe it or not, I can't remember where that setting was for my life!!!! I looked everywhere and I can't figure it out :/ And I have to disagree about the ROM coming out too soon... I know I don't have much experience in flashing, but I'm a pretty experienced user with computers and I've tried ALL the major ROMs released on PPCGeeks and this is the first 6.5 one that actually works on my phone. I'm not crapping on the other ROMs at all, but the one thing I've learned in my short time around here is that this is still an unsupported modification; you have to expect it to behave strangely. If this was something HTC had come up with, I'd be saying it was rushed, but since it's from the community, I'd say that Mike and the other ROM chefs probably wait on our input to make them better. I mean, they probably don't have 50 Diamonds to try the ROMs on My 2¢ |

Google Maps Latitude does not work. It reports an error of not being able to establish a secure connection.

Re: [ ROM ] [ CDMA ] [ VICTOR ] [ 05.24.09 ] [ Windows® Build 21234 ] MightyROM5
ouch...i just flashed MR5, installed my .cab files and bad news... i got the corrupted ringtone bug.
first i went to start>settings>sounds and notifications and set a mp3 ringer for incoming calls. i pressed okay. then i was like "oh wait...let me choose a different ringer" and so from the tf3d home screen i pressed phone>options and changed the ringer. that's when i got the disheartening corrupt ringtone message...i even tried to change back to one of the default .wav ringtones and still got the message so i just soft reset my phone...none of my ringers seem to work now (stock and custom)...looks like it's back to the beta...can anybody confirm that the bug hasn't been a problem on the MR5 beta rom? oh and another thing...my opera crashes shortly after i open it...more soft resets for me =( for those who are wondering...i have a folder on my storage card labled "my ringtones" with them in it and they are all .mp3...i've had this procedure work sucessfully on many previous roms including MR < 4.7 |

Mike, what has changed between the beta and this version? I don't want to hard reset because it's kind of a pain to download all my Gmail accounts even though I have the SDconfig.txt set up to import it. I saw your post in the other MR thread so if it's jsut a few registry changes then I can do that manually.

I may switch to the beta as well....the mp3 trimmer wont even let me save any mp3's....
Also, I realized that the vibrate doesn't even work on the ringer as well. And within like 10 seconds the S2A dissapears and it makes the person calling me as a missed call....blah.. I REALLLY liked everything else about this ROM though. I'm going to try out other 6.5 ROMs then once this problem is fixed, come back to mighty! Thank you again for all ur hard work mighty, can't wait until this problem is fixed! (oh yea, and is there a way to get rid of that pop-up box when you have incoming calls as well?)
