Re: [6/3] AJM's Alltel ROM 2.2 - WM 6.1 21051 [3 VERSIONS]

the whole 6.5 UI is too freeky for me. Every SS I've seen looks horrid compaired to 6.1. Keep up the good work AJM. I'm downloading standard now and look forward to trying it out. BTW I had the same problem with S2U2, volume muted and couldn't get it to come back up. Then I found out I was using version 1.35. Updated to 1.6? and it's been fine. Battery life in 2.1 was incredible btw. I can now leave my phone off the charger for about 24 hours and it still will have power.

Re: [6/3] AJM's Alltel ROM 2.2 - WM 6.1 21051 [3 VERSIONS]

put a beta 6.5 up. i like it, been using it for a while now. pretty quick.

get it here http://myunspace.com/?d=380A164C1 or in the first post.

EDIT: wanted to let everyone know the following-
-messaging will seem to be open after a soft reset, but just hit the X to close it. no harm in this
-i cant get the HTC SIPs to work for some reason yet (typing results in no letters inputted, if inputted is a word), so I thats why I have Fingerkeyboard in there. I am not sure which cab installs will work, but try and let me know.
-there are other programs in there because its the exact ROM i have been using, so its sort of tailored with apps i want in there.

Re: -6/9- AJM's Alltel ROM 2.2 - WM 6.1 21051 (3 Versions) and WM 6.5 21806

I'm a gluttun for punishment but I'm trying your 6.5 (mostly because your 6.1 works so well) One thing I would like to request, when you build a rom would you put the version info on the update screen in RUU. Would make it easier to be sure I'm flashing the right rom

first impressions - I still like Manlia3d. 6.5's UI seems too simple and unsophisticated. I didn't have any trouble with messaging poping up. The keyboard app works ok. Lots and lots of free memory. I don't know if thats because of no manila or fewer apps.

i know what you mean, this thread is pretty much dead. Before my diamond, I didn't look at this orum for like 3 months. I get the diamond, hit the forum heavy for a month and quickly realized, it's still dead. AJM still has the best rom IMO and 6.5 is still worthless and boring. I am working on the youtube issue though. Seems really slow and choppy on playback, even with the diamond fix.

Re: -6/9- AJM's Alltel ROM 2.2 - WM 6.1 21051 (3 Versions) and WM 6.5 21806

i think the latest version of 6.1 i released is about as good as 6.1 can get, with all the goals i have for a ROM. im a believer that there is always room for improvement though. for example, i could pull the official youtube app, and put back in the youtube app that works thru manila (you tell me). other than that... just any updates to builds of 6.1 that i feel are better will come out, and newer versions of significant software.

as for 6.5, ive been running it for probably a month. i know.. mine is buggy. but thats why i labeled it beta. there are some little things ive fixed since, but still big things that i cant get over (like using a SIP other than Fingerkeyboard). some of these problems could be just due to the fact that 6.5 is still young.
but i am still working on trying to make things better

I think Iv tried just about every version of 6.5 out for the Diamond and have still yet to find one I considered suitable for day to day use.
I think well see alotta stability issues resolved when the official releases start popping up.
Till then I love the staility of 6.1, It is the best, fastest, and smoothest OS iv used outta WM5,WM6,WM6.1, or WM6.5.
I think Ill stick with it for awhile longer.
