Re: Dead Diamond :( Need to get back in to recover data
That won't recover any data saved on the internal memory (not the 4gig internal storage) though? I don't care so much about the hardware, I just need the contents on the internal memory saved. Maybe I just don't understand what you mean, but how will flashing to shipped recover that data?

Because I'm not trying to access the data on the INTERNAL STORAGE. I'm trying to access the built in memory. I need to get in to my pim.vol etc where I have important info saved in my text messages.

Yeah... I dunno man... I'm pretty sure you have to back that stuff up before the crisis hits. Maybe one of the real gurus can help you out though. Sorry I was barkin up the wrong tree there. |

Re: Dead Diamond :( Need to get back in to recover data
Hey guys, just a thought, but I had my diamond do this once where it locked up on the same screen for no apparent reason. I was driving home and decided to take the battery out for 20 minutes or so, thought I was screwed, then put it back in, and it worked again. not sure if you tried taking the battery out for a while but maybe give it a try. That's my highly amateur advice.

Re: Dead Diamond :( Need to get back in to recover data
Definitely good advice. I've pulled the battery out many time but I've only had it out for up to 5 minutes or so and then I get too anxious and try to get it to boot back up again. I'll try leaving it out for a long time this time around. Appreciate the advice riley
