Re: ervius Kitchen 8.6 for CDMA Diamond - SYS 21502 & 21222

Sweet, I'm already downloading the new kitchen via SVN. Can't wait to try it out.

Uploading the kitchen tonight. All future updates will come down using SVN (SubVersion). This will allow you to update your kitchen by just downloading the changed files rather than downloading a complete kitchen.

Just discovered something... The Erviuskitchen doesn't play well with ".svn" folders, but it does do okay with "_svn" folders. Please make sure you select the "_svn" folder option.

Say, has the keyboard feedback lag been fixed? It's quite annoying, as it also happens when it's plugged into the charger and not to a computer.

In TortoiseSVN I do an "Update" to pull in any changed files from the Repository. This requires that you did a Checkout previously (i.e. you can't use an older kitchen.)

I havn't touched the keyboards, they're how they come from Calkulin's kitchen. If you know what needs to be updated or changed, I can implement it into the kitchen. I've been using the Fingerkeyboard with good results myself.

Wow I like the idea of version control using repository to track changes.

I agree. It's pretty sweet. I still have yet to build a ROM with the new kitchen, but I will tomorrow once I actually have time to sit down for more than ten minutes.

daryelv, can you post how you got TortoiseSVN in _svn mode? I tried setting an environment variable SVN_ASP_DOT_NET_HACK as per a google search, but I'm not sure it worked. Any hints?

Thanks!

Hey aindfan and anyone else who has this issue.

It is very simple, luckily. All you do it open TortoiseSVN, go to Settings, then under the General tab...check the "use _svn instead of .svn" checkbox. Hope that helps.

start menu > all programs > tortoisesvn > settings

there should be a checkbox @ the bottom that states "Use _svn inst4ead of .svn directories"

check that and you'll have to checkout again

*guess i was too slow... lol, what he said
