But I am going to try to do this through ie6 tonight by making it the default browser and see if it works. not the end of the world though..sorry for the long description.
Aren't the java files for Opera Mini floating around somewhere that you can install them from the device?

yes, but I think they are the generic variety which I can load up. but good point, I will do some searching for a signed version. Also will report back on whether ie6 does the trick. thanks again.

edit: I think I found a solution like you said. someone has a thread pertaining to an all in one jbed mini install solution that was recently updated on 4/7/09. http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=51180 Going to test it out. thanks for reminding me to search...I forgot about that! LOL

edit2: installed this above and no dice!! ugh! but good news. All I had to do was change ie6 to mobile view, then type in mini.opera.com and it worked!! so I'm good to go. Now just need to test the new opera out. Thanks.

Re: 5-04-09 ~~Bear-Bonz Rom~~ Version 2-2 [Rhodium/Titanium - 6.5 - 21502]

i've flashed this rom a few times now, and while it works great, it only works for about 20 minutes before it crashes.
this last time, i was on the phone and the screen went completely blank and would not turn back on.
so i pulled the battery and it hung on the touch diamond screen

any suggestions?

You need to flash back to shipped. If you need more information about this, just read this thread or basically any rom thread on this forum, or use the forum search function. It is discussed ad nauseum.

Guys, I will update the FAQ, later today, with a brief thing on flashing back to shipped. That way you can all help me out by just directing people with questions about it to the FAQ in the future. I apologize that I have not done this already.

For some reason, I can not get my Google Sync Contacts to synchronize. I use Active Sync setup as google suggests, but, even though I have about 145 contacts, it keeps looping and saying something like Exchange Contacts 1 /1 ... as if I only have one contact.. and it keeps going in an endless loop and reconnecting. Is something wrong with active sync and is there a way to reinstall an older version?

Re: 5-04-09 ~~Bear-Bonz Rom~~ Version 2-2 [Rhodium/Titanium - 6.5 - 21502]

Hey bonz,

Just installed your rom - I really don't think this has anything to do with your rom specifically, but more to do with my phone and WM 6.5 custom roms in general. However yours is the only one thats reported any specific errors but the symptoms are consistent in your rom and Calkulins..

In any case... initial install, from shipped rom telus(i know its a sprint specific rom but hope you might help anyway), went as expected. Did a hard reset from the clear storage method. Everything looked find. Started a sync to add my email exchange settings and bam.. it hung..... I had to do a soft rest.... at which point it makes me re-calibrate the screen and re-installs all the customizations.
Once it was finished that.. it actually gave me some errors.. "Progam F" unable to load sorry I cant be specific.. there were two subsequent errors after I press ok. Both to do with not being able to load shortcuts properly..

I end up with the start bar with icons at the top and bottom bar. but none of the today features loaded or the TF3d loaded - and it wont actually let me load them manuall.

any ideas.. Im trying to figure out why this seems to be happening with only my phone in combo with wm6.5

Cheers,

Yeah, I saw your ongoing situation in Calc's thread, but didn't jump in because wmdunn was working with you.

It is, IMO, without question, a flash back to shipped issue. When you are doing this try hard resetting with the buttons instead of clear storage.

You didn't... it was just a conversation that has been re-hashed several times already.

*edit* I have updated the FAQ with the voice command question.
