Re: 6-7-09 ~~Bear-Bonz Rom~~ version 3.3 - [Rhodium/Titanium - 6.5 - 21731]

Hey all,

Well I just wanted to give windows 6.5 a chance so I re flashed with 3.3. I flashed to shipped before installing, etc.,etc.

I am seeing a very strange issue with messaging. Perhaps this was brought up already, but didn't find anything.

This only happens when I have the Today settings set to "Windows Default". When I push on create a new text message and add a recipient (by just starting to type in the first few characters of someone's name, etc), once I pick them, the address window freezes up.

At this point, I can still write a message and send, but it gets sent to "1" or some other number, etc. It's pretty frustrating, is there a fix? Did I miss something here?

thanks,
ant.

^ yea, when you start typing a name you will see the name pull down in 2 boxes. you have to chose it from the top box. you can still import contacts from the address book.

good luck.

Sometimes your PIM data will seem corrupt and cause the calendar appointments to crash the calendar etc, and I'm assuming this could happen with the SMS contacts as well. This is not a problem with the rom but it is one of the symptoms that you need to flash back to the shipped rom.

This is mentioned in the flash back to shipped section of my FAQ.

i wouldn't just rule it out like that...i've been running 21806 on my pro for the last 24 hours and from what i've seen battery life is great and its very fast and stable i've had no problems out of it at all what so ever....i'd try it for myself but just dismissing it all together.

I will keep an eye on it but prepping a new sys and building a new rom based on it takes some time for me... so if I hear from some reputable sources that it has problems I am likely to shy away for a bit. 21731 has been great so far.

Thanks for the feedback though I will keep an eye on it.
