Last night I got the dreaded black screen that won't let you turn on the device. A soft reset fixed the issue. Saw this a while back Bonz and I think you changed something with CPU usage or something to address it. Might have been a 1 off incident as I have not seen it since.

Are you talking about the phone freezing overnight? This has been discussed before. It's a device issue not a rom issue. It rarely happens. Read through the thread.

I've been getting the black screen also and it was happening everytime I was streaming a music url with media player. This was on 2.9. I just flashed to stock and flashed to 3.0. I'll let you know if its still happening.

Sounds like you guys are talking about 2 different black screens. Are you running the audiopara cab?

Not I Drybonz. I'm not sure if it had anything to do with it being a stream and not a .mp3. It was similiar to the problem with the audiopara.cab where the phone would just freeze up, but this time the stream would just stop and I'd have a black frozen screen where I would have to reset by taking the battery out. I'll let you know if I can reproduce it on 3.0.

Try to find out what codec/file type it was. It could have been something WMP has trouble with.

Anyway, just change it back through your registry. HKCU>software>OmegaOne>1-Calc>IniFile> change it back to "default.ini"
