Thanks so much Inda! Installed it and it works just like I wanted! Thanx a ton! Sorry to hear work is slow, I know the feeling. I'm sure you're a wizard on the stage like you are here!

I just used the old kitchen and the new SYS to make a sparkling "new" ROM.
Setting up now. I'll test it today and if everything works well, review and release tonight or tomorrow.

Kind of freaky... anyone ever seen files named [or SIZED] like this?
I'll chalk it up to not flashing to shipped (which I'm doing right now) before I flashed the new ROM.
Pretty impressive, having over 6GB of data on a device with 4GB of storage. Did I say 6GB looks like over 10GB! LOL

Re: [062909] grooveROM 5 - CE OS 5.2.23001 (Build 23001.5.0.60) - [Diamond ROM & Kitc

Here's a quick update to what's going on with the new kitchen..

I've got a new ROM with YouTube working. I cheated a little, and have isolated the issue to something in the sys/shared/common folder -- not sure exactly where though (pretty sure a dll).

I noticed a few weird things in the process of troubleshooting that are bothering me, so I'm going to try to rebuild the kitchen in a different method. What I noticed is that the kitchen seemed to recmod every dll in both OEM and sys during the dump process, so I need to deal with that first before I release another version of the new. I really want this new kitchen to work, but it's a real pain getting it going perfectly.

Hey Inda,
I hate HTC Volume Control, is there away to disable it? I'm using your ROM which is awesome!

I found a glitch. Don't think it's the ROM, per se, but the SYS.
When I go into Contacts and tap New I get the option to add an Outlook, Email or Messaging group. I can create the group, but when I tap on Add Contact, nothing happens. The only option that's functional is Outlook Contact.
No big deal. Just want people to know.

Re: [062909] grooveROM 5 - CE OS 5.2.23001 (Build 23001.5.0.60) - [Diamond ROM & Kitc

OK, I fixed the YouTube issue -- YAY!!! It was a very unusual fix though. Apparently there was an issue with my metadata package -- weird. Anyway it's fixed, and only took all day to isolate it. I'll upload a new kitchen tomorrow.

Also, I'v messed around just a bit with new OEMs, and while I'm still a noob at the new kitchen, I really don't see what the point of EXT packages is.

If you want to add an OEM from an old style kitchen, all you have to do is put it in one of the oem folders, and remove the option.xml file.

One of the coolest things about this kitchen, is the overwrite feature. For example, I always customize my sys a certain way -- so in the past, I always had to find the files that I wanted to change and do it manually. Now, I can just have an oem of the files that I wanna change, and it automatically overwrites the sys files. Now all I have to do to customize the sys, is remove what I don't want and recmod the necessray dlls. Also, this kitchen can work for multiple devices, so I don't really have to do anything extra to make a TP rom or a Diamond rom once I have it all set up.
