It is highly recommended that you flash to a stock shipped 6.1 Rom immediately before flashing to a 6.5 Rom.

Is there a "WM 6.5 for dummies" thread somewhere? I can't seem to get anything done quickly on it, there must be something I'm missing.

You long time grooveROM users may notice a new icon in the bottom left of my signature. I've never accepted donations in the past, however in an effort to justify my time in bringing you the latest and greatest, I'm now accepting them. My wife hates the "PhoneGeeks stuff", and this is one way to justify the time I spend to her. If you have extra dough, please consider donating -- if not that's OK.

Re: [052809] grooveROM 5 - CE OS 5.2.21725 (Build 21725.5.0.2) [ROM & Kitchen]

groove this ROM rocks!! best 6.5 so far that I have tried, def gonna be on this for a while. The battery life wasn't as good, but I think thats my fault, not urs. I have 0 signal at work so I'm pretty sure that is what is causing my battery life to basically die in 8 hours. (normally I'd be at 60% still, even after texting and calling a bit).

does installing the telus radio cause a hard reset on 6.5? I know on 6.1 it does not.

And I actually have one more question. when you do the volume side buttons, it doesn't go to the normal htc volume thing and makes a small thing pop up on the side, and I can't get the ringer to go all the way up? Is there a way to get the normal htc volume control on there (like it takes u to a screen w/ ringer and system with a bunch of little lines).

Low or no signal will kill your battery quickly. You might try the toggle 1x option is system tools. This will toggle your settings between Hybrid (Ev and 1X) and 1X only. Sometimes you have a very low Ev signal with a stronget 1X signal. Since there is any Ev signal, it will not auto switch to 1X. The Diamond trys to boost signal strength (therefore more battery) when signal is low. Is you have a higher 1X signal, this may help. Just toggle back when you get to a better reception area.

Installing radio and hard-reset depends on how it's been packaged. I posted a RUU that would not hard reset some time ago in the redio thread, and many have used it. I can not speak for the specific RUU that you're using for sure.

I don't use the HTC Volume, because it doesn't work in-call. You can turn up the volume of phone by just tapping the phone icon in the display after pressing the vol up or down buttons.

the telus radio in the stickies is packaged to flash without a hard reset. it will not hard reset your phone whether you are using a 6.1 or 6.5 rom. I like this radio alot. Just wanted to confirm this. good luck.

Thanks so much rileyd5! You have long been one of the biggest grooveROM supporters. Don't think it doesn't go unnoticed.

The offer from months back of building you a custom rom to your specs still stands, whenever you wanna hit me up. Prolly want to wait for 6.5 sys releases to slow down a bit though..
