ah so the diamond 2 keyboard from jmz didn't work, but the savage racer one worked! now if I can figure out how to get rid of the tick noise everytime I type on it....thanks for the help riley and thanks for the ROM groove!

To get rid of the tick noise you have to change the registry to this:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\ezsip]
"ClickSoundEnabled"=dword:00000000

there's another way to get rid of the tick noise.. i can't remember exactly, but you dont have to do a regedit or anything. it's through the system settings maybe? my phone is flashing so it will be a bit before i can actually re trace my steps

Yeah, just go into Options of the Sip Menu.

I've gotten most fixed, but just got one I'm not sure what to look for.

The target file "temp\dump\battery.dll" is a directory, not a file.

and then in the message section at the bottom of BuildOS is:

Error, last status: "Processing: OEM\OEMDrivers"

Suggestions? I found the file battery.dll in the folder OEM\OEMDrivers. Just remove it? Or is it a duplicate? There is no directory called battery.dll that I can find.
This wouldn't be because of a custom taskbar battery icon, would it?

I think I found the culprit, but I don't know what to do about it.
In the OEM folder (that I added to the kitchen) Battery- Rapid Charge is a folder called battery.dll!
Should I just ditch that folder? [I just didn't select it- running now!]

Got a few ROMs built... but not quite there yet.
This last one completed and flashed nicely, but when the customizations started, I got an error that killed them- it couldn't find a cab file... Windows\Calkulins_Diamond_Tweaks.cab or something like that. I'm guessing that's also a duplicate of a file that indagroove probably replaced... any idea which one?

RapidCharge is already in my OEMDrivers folder, so you don't need to add that.

It sounds like your config_operator.txt file is pointing to some of Calcu's stuff which isn't in my kitchen. Edit that file. I'm assuming that you're using another carriier.

I'm using Sprint... but I couldn't the Sprint carrier to show up until I brought all of them over and then selected just Sprint.

My dialer looks fantastic... but I'll see how everything works tomorrow after I've gotten a few calls and such. I'll redo everthing tomorrow if it's a big issue.

thanks groove. how can i switch to video record mode? also when i install rock and republic dialer, it doesnt switch at all despite soft reset. thx for your help!

did you close SIPGT_app.exe with task manager before installing? if not, it will mess up your keyboards. First install the task manager attached below as well as installing sipchange. The task manager will be listed in the start menu programs at the bottom in a folder (Utilities but don't quote me), sipchange will be listed seperately. Go into fdc task manager, and close the process sipgt_app.exe. then install the keyboard of your choice. it will most likely ask you to restart, or soft reset. then go to programs, select sipchange and select the keyboard you just installed as your default sip. done.

This doesn't work either. Both ways the phone locks at the bootscreen and does not boot. Hard reset required.

sorry to hear that. I had issues installing this keyboard as well on various roms before. the process is correct though. maybe someone else has an idea.
