Its not the best tutorial out there but you should be able to figure it out.
2. Those are two images, one for align screen and another for setting the time zone. They are both located under SYS>base_dpi_192_resh_480_resv_640.

You can customize a ROM beyond this, you can add your own boot sound, theme, color etc. Take a look at rstoyguy's threads and you will find out how to do this.

Happy Independence Day to you too!

You can pull it off from Windows folder. Its called "Mystery's Wallpaper"

Cooking is not as hard as it might look like. Some programs are really hard to make into OEMs though, like Opera, because you will need to edit a few things in the registry to make it work.

Well you can change the Page Pool and see which one you like best. I use 24 because that is the one the gives me the best performance in my opinion.

Start>System Tools> Touch InCall Screen Tweak.

It's working fine for me, don't know what can be causing it. Removing Notification Enhancement will give you a lot more free space so that's good in a way.
thanks for replying....

I have a question about the page pool file... the screen pops up and asks for a size... what settings do you think is best. I am still trying the oem but I wanted to just build the rom first and see if it works...

I have been wanting to create an animated splash with the mark of zorro since my last name begins with "Z" i thought that would be cool.... it would make the Z then it would make a circle around it.... can anyone make that? I was thinking of calling it Z-rom based of Mystery 4....

I figured one step at a time
1st just use yours to compile and then make sure it works

2nd then add some custom stuff like splash screen....

3rd then add my software....

is their anyone in indianapolis that i can talk with to make sure i am doing stuff right? how about we start a local meeting of ppcgeekers in indianpolis

I did not reformat internal storage. Why would that matter? I've never seen that suggested before.

I don't ever format my internal storage but I do delete my inbox folders and my temp folder. They get recreated with the new rom anyway.

Here is what I do.

1. I flash from internal storage so I change my shipped rom name back to DIAMIMG.nbh
2. Clear Storage (Start\Settings\System\Clear Storage)
3. At tap screen pull the battery and flash the shipped rom back on.
4. At the tap screen I hook back up to my pc and using activesync explore device rename the new rom DIAMIMG.nbh
5. I pull the battery and flash the new rom
6. At the tap screen I pull the battery and do a hard reset
7. I go through the set up process and do a Clear Storage again
8. I set up my rom and customize it the way I want and enjoy it.

Works every time, never have a problem with this long ritual with any rom.

2. Clear Storage (Start\Settings\System\Clear Storage)
3. At tap screen pull the battery and flash the shipped rom back on. (always let the roms complete never pull the battery i found even when using sprint offical rom 2.0)
4. At the tap screen I hook back up to my pc and using activesync explore device rename the new rom DIAMIMG.nbh (never do this only flash with usb cable... escecially when going back to stock sprint 2.0 rom or you will lose some stuff that should be installed... I wish they would never allow flash from internal... it is meant only for some rare issues. to get up and flash with usb cable again... just but it into boot loader....
5. I pull the battery and flash the new rom (never pull the battery just let the thing install all it needs to...)
6. At the tap screen I pull the battery and do a hard reset (only do a ##786# for hard reset which will delete phone info like msid and mdn so write them down and your msl code...
7. I go through the set up process and do a Clear Storage again
8. I set up my rom and customize it the way I want and enjoy it.

when changing back to stock 2.0 rom from sprint never ever do it from internal storage, it does not do a full flash that could be the reason you are having issues with missing calls ringing. Only flash from usb cable never from internal storage... then after flashing with usb cable then reformat internal, then install custom, then clear storaage along with format internal...

when you install from internal storage it will not do the full stock rom and thus old files are not mixing with stock files correctly...

FALSE!

I always flash to stock from internal, and it always cures any weird data corruption issues I may have. Again, this is false information. Completely false, and based on no facts.

You shouldn't have to reformat internal storage. If anything, maybe remove the cache on internal storage.

Exactly. I never have problems doing it this way.

Not sure why you wrote this to me but I don't have issues missing calls ringing. My phone works awesome, even after customizing in Mysteries Kitchen.
