Re: Cooking roms with another rom
Ok, really, you can check out my tutorials, the one for Adding/Removing Programs. I wrote that tutorial for modifying stock roms. I'm currently using Calu's kitchen as the one in the tutorial has a size limitation when building the rom.

Re: Cooking roms with another rom
The simple answer is to decompile the leaked rom with prepit, take the pieces that you want and put them in yer kitchen, build, flash, and enjoy.
Now for more specifics, read rstoyguys tutorials, and then ask questions when you've done that. |

In my signature, follow the orange link to my tutorial collection, find this and click on it.
How to Customize a Custom Rom: Adding/Removing Programs Does your favorite Chef include files/programs that you don't use? This will show you how to delete those programs you don't use and insert the ones that you do use! (This method doesn't always work with a PPCKitchen.org custom rom). |

Re: Cooking roms with another rom
It works best on carrier releases...as most chef's (not all) use various sorts of rom protection so you cannot decompile their roms. I've always used those methods to dress up the stock roms.
