since juicy's leaving and I don't like mighty for some reasons, I do have to do something for my telus cell. personally I have no problems with very fancy rom. however, put a cartoon thing, eg Mickey, in it will not let me feel comfortable. 2nd, opendns is good, but it may block some site you want to go. thanks! |

Re: Replacement for Juicy
Lol...This is like when dharvey pulled his roms and left everyone went into shock. Juicy made good roms, but so do other chefs. Just try the different roms, until you find one you like. Or use calcu's kitchen and make your own. There is also www.ppckitchen.org kitchen... I have always used omj's when mine was discombobulated...

Re: Replacement for Juicy
Hi,
I was also a big Juicy ROM Fan. I have tried every version from 2.2 up. Since I connect to an Exchange Server it would take me a few minutes to bring everything back in and I only installed Apps as needed. The 4GB of Storage would also keep everything I need without having to restore that portion. I even liked the Juicy ROM so much that when the Touch PRO came out I did not want to change and be forced to switch back to the Telus OEM Rom... Currently, I'm looking for a replacement ROM and since I'm on Telus I want to ensure the ROM I install will be Telus compatible. Right now I'm thinking Calcu or OMJ but again I don't think they have a Telus specific Rom available. Any further suggestions will be welcome. Thanks |

Re: Replacement for Juicy
I liked the Juicy .roms because they were more professional and less "customized". The applications were completely functional, the splash screens were generic and didn't have crappy photoshopping or "ego tags", the program icons were smooth and high resolution. It's a shame he has decided to upgrade to the pro and/or quit cooking Diamond .roms. I like the Diamond more than the Pro and have no plans to upgrade. Oh well, the Pre' is comming out soon; I guess that will be the next big thing...
