Re: [01-18-09] nTT ROM v1.1D [Sprint, UC, GSen Rotate, Haptic Feedback] [CE OS 5.2.21

That will be fixed on my next release. There is a simple registry key that needs to get deleted to make that disappear. Don't have my references with me but if you search the forum for "manner mode" you'll find the solution. I'd type the entire key right now but I'm mobile right now don't have access to my notes.

Re: [01-18-09] nTT ROM v1.1D [Sprint, UC, GSen Rotate, Haptic Feedback] [CE OS 5.2.21

thanks, nttdemented, for the ROM
I was pretty frustrated by the ringtone issue w/ Mighty, lack of Live/Messenger in JMZ, and drop out of Juicy in the ROM sandbox...
Saw you promoting your ROM in the other thread, so checking it out
Love the similarity to original Telus ROM, and you basically cooked pretty much most of what I need into the ROM, WONDERFUL~
Just flashed my Telus Diamond, I'll report back about the experience after using it for few days, hope it's a keeper

Re: [01-18-09] nTT ROM v1.1D [Sprint, UC, GSen Rotate, Haptic Feedback] [CE OS 5.2.21

Hope you like it! As it stands it has two annoying issues that will get fixed as soon as I find some time to cook up the fixes wich are pretty easy to fix.

1-manner mode pop-up when going into vibrate/silent
2-Ringer type getting switched back to "ring" instead of any other option you may have set like "vibrate and ring".

Please do let me know how it works out for Telus so that I may update the compatibility list accordingly. I could in the future offer a version without SprintTV cooked for the telus users if needed.

Re: [01-18-09] nTT ROM v1.1D [Sprint, UC, GSen Rotate, Haptic Feedback] [CE OS 5.2.21

Didn't have much chance to fool around with the phone today...

Just few calls, bluetooth on and with bt handsfree linked throughout the day, the battery drop like stone in water...however it's kinda remain at 20%...probably because i flashed twice with different ROM this morning, and the battery need few charges to recalibrate, anyway, will see how it goes for the days to come...

Just fired up Youtube, it loaded fine but once selected a video, it gives an error saying it can't play the video...weird...tried different video, all giving me same error...

Other than this...everything else seems running fine...data connects fine...weather updating well...windows live email updating smoothly...messenger runs fine...

Very nice background by the way~~

Re: [01-18-09] nTT ROM v1.1D [Sprint, UC, GSen Rotate, Haptic Feedback] [CE OS 5.2.21

The YouTube issue seems to go away if you flash, let customizations run and then hard reset. I'm not having any issues with YouTube after doing this. It is kind of weird how lots of people are having this issue when first flashing. And yeah the 1% battery driver is a bit inconsistent at times.

Try that out and let me know how it goes.

Re: [01-18-09] nTT ROM v1.1D [Sprint, UC, GSen Rotate, Haptic Feedback] [CE OS 5.2.21

Funny...I hard-resetted AFTER flashing and waiting for customization to complete and rebooted...and I used Clear Storage method...
Actually, I soft-resetted, Video plays fine now except no audio...

After running down the battery last night then fully charged, seems like it is lasting much better...so far 6 hours standby still holding at 90%...

Another thing I notice is...data connection seems not that stable and slow...
Mainly youtube video and webpages take quite a long time to connect to...
I've only changed the name from Sprint to Data...username/password/domain remain empty...

Re: [01-18-09] nTT ROM v1.1D [Sprint, UC, GSen Rotate, Haptic Feedback] [CE OS 5.2.21

I'll have to look into anything that may be needed to have Telus users have more stable data connection. Thanks for the updates, keep up the reports to see where else I need to polish things. The YouTube no audio issue is a bit puzzling, if I could only replicate that problem with my phone I could be of better service but it works fine for me every time I flash.

Last thing I could recommend is flashing stock ROM, hard reset, flash back to custom rom and hard reset that also seems to clear strageness from flashing some custom ROMs or so it has been reported in many threads.

Sounds like a very hashed solution but its worth a try.

Re: [01-18-09] nTT ROM v1.1D [Sprint, UC, GSen Rotate, Haptic Feedback] [CE OS 5.2.21

Another bug I notice:

When I navigate to the weather tab, the city I set sometimes shows with UNKNOWN IDS below the city name where it says "cloudy", "sunny", "rain", etc., with sunny icon, and sunny forecast for the next five day with lowest/highest both 0 degree...
When this happens, I have to manually going to right menu and use "update now" to get rid of the error...

I was having the bluetooth handsfree on standby again today, and battery starts running down like there's no tomorrow...I suspect the bluetooth driver need some optimization?
When the BT handsfree isn't on, the battery lasts quite well even leaving BT on...but once BT handsfree is discovered and on standby, the battery runs down at a rate of 10%/hr without using it at all...

Thanks for the BT update I'm working on revising the other issues right now and I'll hunt around for an updated Bluetooth driver. Give it a go when I put it back up and let me know how it goes. I don't have a BT headset to test with.

nTT, I have been using your rom for a couple days now and must say that i really enjoy it. I have flashed several roms from the wonderful cooks at geek, and your setup is great.

I would like to add that I as well have been unable to get youtube to work. videos download but wont play. additionally the keyboard doesnt pop up automatically when i go to send messages (this might be a carry over from having previously flashed mightymike's rom)

also, is the battery icon supposed to go down in 1% increments? i only see it drop by tens.

i'm gonna try flashing to the stock sprint rom and back to yours, with several hard resets in between, and i'll report if that helps the issues.

just wanted to contribute some feedback, since i cant contribute on the technical front. lookin forward to future releases ntt

cheers
