I created a ROM based on the 28011 link you posted above. However, once I sucessfully built/flashed 28011, the ABOUT screen still shows 28004?

- I dumped the 28011 SYS folder in Calks SYS directory
- /ROM/Diamond path, I copied the 28004 folder and renamed to 28011
- /ROM/SHARED path, I dumped your MSIXPkernel folder here.

(typical stuff I usually do)

I wasn't sure what to do with the xip.bin file.

did you create a new folder in the \ROM\Shared\ directory w/the 28011 name..?

the MSXIPKernel should be in \ROM\Shared\28011\ not directly in the Shared folder.

you shouldn't need the xip.bin. that's just there for everyone who's constantly asking for it. if you're cooking w/the oldschool kitchen you need it.

I am having three (3) problems which I will list:
1) Phone freezes in different circumstances; when plugged in, the problem is further exacerbated. When I hang up a phone call using my bluetooth "end" it locks up on the end call screen.
2) I cannot use my bluetooth to initiate Microsoft Voice Command voice-dialing anymore; I have the Plantronics Voyager 510 and I used to hold the button for ~2-3 seconds and it [the phone] would wait for me to say "Call John Doe on Mobile" and it would call. Now it just opens the "phone program" rather than starting voice command, but why?
3) Activesync constantly wants to sync and errors out: "There has been a change made on your server ... all changes made since your last successful sync will be lost." This is aggravating due to its persistent nature; I'd like to not deal with this as I am only trying to sync my Google Calendar. I do not necessarily even need to update my calendar to have this problem.

Thanks, beside these issues the ROM is working well. Just gotta close programs fully to not waste resources...

Yes, I had done the above correctly. However, I think I know why it did this. In the "release_diamond" directory is the 28011 "RUU_signed.nbh" ROM. I also had a backup copy of my 28004 ROM called "28004_RUU_signed.nbh". Seems like the flash process picks the first nbh file it sees, which happened to be a 28004 backup. I always thought that the flash process was hardcoded to only look for the file name "RUU_signed.nbh". Anyhow got rid of the backup 28004 file.

With the new 28011 ROM, I now run into the next problem mentioned by others in other posts. Right after the screen alignment, it says "Error-Please check HTCLOG on the Customization screen.

I have successfully cooked many ROMs using Calk's SYS packages, but 28004 is last one that ever worked.
28005 = Error: Check HTCLOG (used non-Calk SYS)
28008 = All corrupted files when extracting . (this is from calks download page, and also noted by another user in this forum.
28011 = Error: Check HTCLOG

Maybe I will wait for the next kitchen.

did you replace ceipui.exe in shared > common > shell ..? (or replace mxipnotify.vol w/the one i posted?) you either need to replace mxipnotify.vol w/the one i posted, OR add ceipui.exe module back into the shell folder w/the files i posted.

not sure if those are the culprit or not, but it's worth a shot.

Trying to put 28011 in VK. I got the SYS to show up, but the XIP doesn't.

I put the 28011 folder in the SYS folder. I placed the MSXIPKernel in a newly created 28011 folder under ROM/Shared.

you've gotta copy one of your previous \ROM\Diamond\***** folders, paste it in the same folder, rename to "28011" (w/o quotes) to match the one you've created in \ROM\Shared\

I tried mxipnotify.vol, and cooked the ROM, but same "HTCLOG error" problem. It's possible that starting with 28005, maybe I need to select/deselect one of the options when building the ROM. Anyhow, this HTCLOG error started after 28002/28004.

I was reviewing some of the da_reeseboy threads, and some members have the same problem with his 28005/28011 SYS.

Update: I tried da_reeseboy's VK (based on Calk's VK) which incorporates 28011, and 28011 cooks just fine. The HTCLOG error is possibly related to certain options that are incorrectly enabled in the 28011 SYS package. Da_Resseboy's package already deselects the option. (see link above for further)

Anyhow, working OK with 28011 now.

Anyone have any problems with WM6.5 text messaging with the 28011 SYS? In threaded view, I can view 1-2 threads. When I go back to the main screen and choose another contact's thread, the phone would freeze and I have to reset it. At first I thought it was because I had too many text messages, so I removed all except the most recent, but it would still freeze up selecting a new thread after viewing one. I have hard-resetted and rebuilt my ROM several times, with no fix.

EDIT: So I decided to try a different SYS and went with 23506, looks like the messaging program works fine with my text messages now.
