Just loaded this on my Diamond. Thus far I'm loving it.

Are links in Outlook disabled in this though? I tried clicking a link and the browser wouldn't open. I checked the security setting and it looks like it should work, but no dice. Is there another setting I need to check?

EDIT: I actually ran into the same issue within Kinoma too. It had to open a browser to validate access to Twitter/Flickr/YouTube accounts and it gave an error saying the link couldn't be opened because it's not a signed/trusted certificate or that components couldn't be found.

If you're cooking your own ROM then you can edit the finger keyboard settings in the EXT files. You can set all the shortcut keys and smiley's and stuff from there before you build. Thanks for the info, guys! I'll just live without the ability to change between the HTC SIPs in order to avoid the weird biotouch issues. It's not a big deal! As for FingerKeyboard, I managed to configure it by editing the skins files in \Windows\Skins (specifically skins-01-global.txt, if anyone is interested) and also the registry entries to enable text word suggestion/change the skin.

PMDColeslaw: To change the default FingerKeyboard skin color, use a text editor to open the app.reg file in the FingerKeyboard EXT folder. Look for the following two lines:
"skin-00-sheme-blackgray.txt"=dword:00000000
"skin-00-sheme-grayblue.txt"=dword:00000001

Replace them with the following to enable the black/gray skin:
"skin-00-sheme-blackgray.txt"=dword:00000001
"skin-00-sheme-grayblue.txt"=dword:00000000

You can also use a registry editor on your device to edit those same entries in "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\FingerKeyb\SkinFil es", which would change the skin without the need to reflash.

It's "0" by default in Calk's kitchen... make it "1".

Umm when did Kinoma start supporting twitter? What version do you have?

Okay, last night and this morning I was able to create several versions of my ROM. One more question! Does anyone know how to create a shortcut to directly launch a Java midlet with the new Sun Java Wireless Client that is in the 9-19 kitchen? With Jbed, I had a shortcut that allowed me to directly launch the Gmail application from the Start Menu. I can't figure out how to do that with this new Java client! I found instructions that said they were for the Sun Java client, but they don't work (they referenced jmm.exe, which is no longer the name of the application, and don't work even if I use the proper filename). I just can't figure out what the proper command is to have the EXE launch a midlet directly. This isn't a big deal because I can always just swap back to Jbed, but the Sun version seems nice, so I'd like to keep it if it's possible!

go to the kitchen\release_diamond folder and delete all the RUU_signed files.
"kitchen_build_rom.bat" isn't deleting the files automatically when it should.

Hey Calk, I dont know if its supposed to or not, but in the latest 6.5.1 build (23412 I think) facebook contact integration is adding all the facebook friends birthdays to the device calendar. Wouldnt be a huge deal if my Calendar wasnt sync'd to google Cal. lol.

Speaking of Google Calendar Exchange syncing...I'm using a 21857-based ROM and my Google Calendar is failing to completely sync. It will finish with errors which is two re-occurring events. Also, when I add something to my Calendar online it isn't showing up my device. Usually it does very quickly, but now it just won't. It's like Google Calendar isn't pushing or my device isn't receiving. I manually sync and those new events still don't show up. Anyone else having this problem?
