[ ROM ] [ KITCHEN ] JUICY 8 - Build 090922V (23052.5.3.0) [UC]

Anybody experience super slow startup? It takes well over 1min from the htc blue screen showing up till touchflo 3d fully launched. Just want to know if it's normal on this rom. Previously i had an almost stock sprint rom (6.1), I flashed it back to stock (2.00) and then flashed this 6.5 ROM. At least in my previous 6.1 roms, it's faster in terms of starting up. After start up this rom feels a bit faster in chaning pages, programs etc, but it freezes for a second or two from time to time when I finger scroll the "all programs" list.

Hey guys, thought Id try out juicy8 today,
Everything is running very well.
The one thing I noticed is I dont have a service Icon.
This may be due to the fact that Im on Alltel and have revA service.
Maybe Juicy didnt include a revA Icon. Not a big deal though cause I use a custom taskbar anyway. (see screenshot)
And ya I did notice the slow start up, but also not a big deal.

first off, great job on the ROM Juicy, its stable enough that i will put it on my sisters phone. the only annoyance i have is that sometimes it will freeze for a few secs while im texting someone, does anyone else have this issue? im wondering if the custom phone keypad i installed has anything to do with it, but i wanted to ask you guys before i hard reset again and start from scratch.

nope, I got that freeze also, it lasts about 8 seconds.

ON the topic of restoring your stuff, flash to a 6.1 ROM, restore your info, download MyPhone - Sync....Install your 6.5 Rom (Juicy's already has Myphone installed)......and voila. No more syncing issues.

Thanks guys, I'll consider it... the only thing I have an issue with these two options is that I have sensitive contact info that I can't have just "lying around" on some server, and I'm really iffy about getting a third party syncing platform... but it's worth splitting my sensitive/non-sensitive info if it works that well I guess.

I have otherwise had no lags, crashes or bugs, which is a first with WM 6.5 on my phone... especially with Rhodium Manila. No double text messages, and I'm thinking that might have to do with the provider more than the phone. I would suggest a roaming list update (on Telus it's *22803), always solves tweaks like that for me.

I do have the picture orientation bug though, that is that all my pics are portrait, even if I shoot landscape.

But all in all, Juicy did a great job!

EDIT: Good news, it must have been a single contact that caused the problem because I skimmed down my list and now it works fine! With Finchsync anyway, but I have no reason to think Missingsync won't work now.

3.) The phones sound stopped working completely when i tried to enable the vibrate on the keyboard. Disabling the option and a soft reset fixed this.
