registry edits can change this. I like the news settings much better.

this is my first time flashing a rom, I flashed 3.7 last night and hard reset twice already but battery life's been poor for me. I had it fully charged at 2:00 pm today and I was getting the low battery warning at about 8:00 p.m. Is there a setting to make the X button close a program when I tap it?

yes
go to start/settings/system/task manager/buttons and you should find the option there

I've always noticed after you flash to a new rom the first initial battery drain is brutal... I don't know if anyone else can testify, but it's always been like this for me. Flash a new rom, first battery drain your batter gets ripped... second charge, and it's awesome!

hmmm. not working with my new XP laptop....Im on 3.5 I think. Ill flash 3.7 in the morning and try again.
