Mine just quit working. It updated itself 48 minutes ago and now I get a connection error while attempting to download weather data...Retry? Opera IS working and so is the phone. mmmmm

I just tried and got:

Data Call Failure

Error 78

Some blah blah about network sign in failed. If problem persists, contact Sprint.

It was working yesterday with Verizon Radio. Although, I did try to use GPS last night and it wasn't catching satellites. Don't remember if it was post 2.5 install or post radio ROM install. I'm horrible at troubleshooting.

its not the rom. beleive me. its an issue with the servers for the weather. as for your GPS not locking. if you were in a building. its patchy at best. walk out side.

my temp and conditions are correct. its cloud cast here watched it update from the moon. and the temp is correct according to the weather network.

i think its server issue.

I was in a car. Oh wait, did I mention in a parking lot of an electro magnet factory?!? haha. kidding

The quick GPS feature works fine. But, when I go into google maps, it just keeps searching. I'll try to troubleshoot tonight.

Hopefully 2.6 will come out this weekend. The 'She' is gone visiting friends out of state. the D has a whole 2 days to himself to nerd out with my phone and watch sports. Good time to read up and tweak away at the phone.

ohh google maps. yah it does that to me too. i just close and reopen or open Quick GPS and update it

2 days.... of...... HOCKEY! lol

Agreed! Mine is spotty at best today but does eventually update today. My weather has been updating before today with no issues and I have been on the VZW radio for about 2 days so I know it is fine.

Data in general is used the same way on the phone so if one app that uses data is working then your data connection is working. That said, just because it's an HTC phone does not mean that all data connections use the same source. Weather has one source, Opera/IE have a different source and so on. Where ever the weather is updated (and there could be several locations depending on your physical location) it might be down or experiencing problems for some of us.
