I think I can be lumped into this as well. I have noticed that it lasts longer in standby and I have noticed that with actual phone usage, the back doesn't get as hot as it did before. However, based on usage alone, I am not seeing any significant change in how quickly the battery drains. A 15 min call really ate the battery.

I wish I was seeing the dramatic changes everyone else is but I'm not unfortunatly.

go to the first page of your thread and click thread tools. it will give you the option to add a poll. though its a one shot deal so make sure you have your questions perfect once you do.

I'm guessing it could be our home region(signal/towers/etc)? I live in Minneapolis and don't know of anybody else on this forum who lives in the area. Would like to compare with somebody else close to home.

I can say that there are so many different phone setups we are comparing. There are those who tweak beyond the alternate ROMs. I for one only install Juicy's latest and this Verizon radio. So, that may mean I'm not as power streamlined as the next guy. Then you have the whole Telus/Sprint difference, exchange email on or off, yadda yadda.

Battery life aside - has anyone noticed a difference in the call quality / signal strength on the Telus Diamond after applying the radio update?

I'm new to Telus so I can't compare call quality on various hardware platforms. I love my diamond but it isn't the best 'phone'. I drop calls continually. I'm afraid to dial out unless I'm standing still. I can't remember dropping calls on my Treo 650 or old LG flip on Bell.

Anyone else using the diamond in the Peterborough ON area?
