Re: [UPDATED Bench Marked Results post 75 ] Official CDMA Diamond Radio Rom Thread

ok so after more than 24 hours with this radio and 1.5 charges(was at 50% when the radio was installed) here are my findings and in no way are any of these based on any sort of science...
~600 text messages
78 minutes of talk time
aim off and on
23 picture messages (s&r)
and heavy web use
all since it was taken from the charger at 1030pm

prior to 830pm since radio install ~250 text messages 12 picture messages and heavy web usage

all in all i would say this radio rom combined with my own custom rom is the dogs bollux!!!

take from it what you will as these are my own experiences but you will see in time its well worth the hard reset!!!

I'll make sure I back up the MIP settings etc.

If you haven't already, you have to unlock first. Also, it'll hard reset your device, so you may want to back up all of your stuff for restore...

Re: [UPDATED Bench Marked Results post 75 ] Official CDMA Diamond Radio Rom Thread

Just got home and down to 72%. Did not actually use the phone much. Did some texting this afternoon and a reminder for my appointment came up and I snoozed it a couple times. Other then that it's been on standby a majority of the day.

My conclusion so far:

More battery left then previously but also have not been able to use my phone the same way I have before the radio so my conclusion is that I need more time...

Hard to argue though with a majority of people claiming they have seen a huge difference in battery life since the radio change.

Re: [UPDATED Bench Marked Results post 75 ] Official CDMA Diamond Radio Rom Thread

This radio update is awesome for battery life, but my phone still gets toasty warm while on calls... I use a bluetooth headset, and was curious if that is the source of drain. Anyone else notice bluetooth sucking battery life? anyone have a good solution?

Re: [UPDATED Bench Marked Results post 75 ] Official CDMA Diamond Radio Rom Thread

I was just scrolling through pictures on my phone and noticed while doing this that the battery started draining very rapidly. It went from 100% to 92% in 3 min. Then I plugged it back into the PC to charge it. After 10 min the phone was hot and the battery was showing 86%.....wtf? I know the radio was a partial issue but this just baffles me.

@ acer, do your research, the battery reader is not exact from 100 to 90 percent, check how it is from below 88 percent.

Re: [UPDATED Bench Marked Results post 75 ] Official CDMA Diamond Radio Rom Thread

I dont have have any test results but I will say HOLLY $H!T I cant believe how awesome this radio is for the Diamond. I have Sprint, and this thing used to get pretty hot, it still gets kinda warm, but damn this is nice. The battery last for a lot longer and for those that said it was not because of the radio here is the proof. Nice work EVERYONE!!!!!
