Re: [DEC 5th New Telus Radio V1.04.05V] Official CDMA Diamond Radio Thread

I have Sprint and I was using the Verizon for the longest time with great results, in my area the Telus radio is somewhat worse, but still better for me than the stock Sprint Radio. Maybe try the Verizon?

Ok, I'll try that one out and then maybe the download link will be working for the Raphael so I can try that one too and compare.

Thanks!

Re: [DEC 5th New Telus Radio V1.04.05V] Official CDMA Diamond Radio Thread

so whats the general consensus on the best radio for cdma sprint diamond?
ive been on the stock 1.00.00f and everythings been fine except the usual heat during intensive internet/wifi browsing. Thats because these lipo batteries get hot when being discharged, im guessing.

Using the Verizon and Telus raduis SERIOUSLY diminished the heat generation on my Sprint Diamond. Like night and day for me FWIW.

Re: [DEC 5th New Telus Radio V1.04.05V] Official CDMA Diamond Radio Thread

its strange how things are different for ppl even tho we're using the same phone.

After two days using the Telus radio (switched from stock sprint) I can say the only real noticeable difference is the heat -- but not by much. Even a ten minute phone call warms up my diamonds butt

Maybe I'm lucky with my diamond but out of box I got pretty good battery life, and that hasnt changed with the telus rom.

That being said I'll probably stick with it, just cuz it satisfies my need to modify my phone.

And just as an aside, it's not the battery that warms up, most of the warmth I feel from low on the phone -- where the CPU is located. The battery sits higher up.

Re: [DEC 5th New Telus Radio V1.04.05V] Official CDMA Diamond Radio Thread

Telus radio has made the signal on my phone better but drains the battery much quicker than the stock Alltel radio. Switching back to the stock Alltel radio.

Re: [DEC 5th New Telus Radio V1.04.05V] Official CDMA Diamond Radio Thread

Available upgraded radio's: Sprint Raphael V1.03.15F, VZW TouchPro v1.03.03v and Telus Diamond V1.04.05V

So just so we're all clear here. Which radio's DON'T hard reset? I just upgraded to to Telus 1.04.05V and can confirm it does not hard reset. And I read someone say Sprint Raphael 1.03.15F also does not hard reset (can someone confirm?) What about the VZW radio? Does that reset? This would be helpful so I could test back to back without anything else changing in my setup. If any of the radio's in this thread DO reset, is there any way to get a packaged version that doesn't? And where? TIA
