ok, everything works now.. weather, opera, sprint nav... i dunno, i soft reset again and it came back on without errors. thanks for your help though, you guys are awesome.

verizon's. i dunno what the problem was. everytime i tried to make a data connection, an error would pop up saying vision password and whatnot are incorrect. i went to edit the mip profile, didn't change anything, exited out, soft reset, and boom it works fine.

i'll definitely tell you how its going.. so far so good. my bedroom is pretty much solid concrete, so its a good place for low reception benchmarking. with the sprint radio, i could only talk on one side.. even with the phone just in stand by, it drains the battery terribly because its always searching for towers. if the battery is any better here, i'll notice.

I flashed to the VZW radio last night. I had little to no signal with the Sprint radio in the library where I work, but the signal hasn't increased any since the VZW flash. The battery life is totally hanging in there though, so that is much better.

I'm thinking about rolling back to the previous PRL. I updated to the latest one last night before I flashed the radio. I'm interested to see if that makes any difference in the signal quality at work.

Thanks for all the help provided here in the forum. I'm so glad I didn't choose to go with the locked down iPhone.

i've had my phone off the charger for 24+ hrs now w/moderate texting, a few phone calls, showing friends pictures, and i'm still sitting @ 60%... no way this would have happened on the sprint radio a week ago

i still can't get the weather app working. it updated once, and now its not. keeps saying that it can't find a data connection. everything else works flawlessly. oh, and i can't update the prl in the settings, it says "dm error" or something like that.

I'm on the stock sprint radio. Been having this problem since atleast 2pm pst.
