I downloaded Burt's Icontacts 6.3.1 for the touch diamond and found it too be an excellent contact manager compared too the stock Windows Mobile contacts managers.

Burts Icontacts runs on top of the stock one more as a skin and overlay. It prevents accidental dialing of contact (hold contact until bar is fully highlighted and dials contact(built in dialer included with Call history)) and a lot better scrolling by Letter and management of contacts.

You might want too take a look at this program maybe in your future ROM releases as is more of an enhancement over the stock contact manager. It mirrors an Iphone feel for contacts.

Hey Deval, good seeing you here from sprintusers.....Fianlly made the jump to a WM device...Welcome to the club!

To install this, just download the battery icons cab and sdkcerts cab. Run them both on your device. then reset. You should then be good to go! I have it on Juicy's last ROM but is should work for the new one. Haven't decided if it is worth the time to go to 2.5 yet. Still reading reviews.

I am using that one just fine with Juicy 2.5. Did you fully read and follow the directions? You have to install the sdkcerts.cab as well as the .cab for the battery meter. Works just fine when directions are followed. If you did that , then you must have something else not right.

First problem happened this afternoon on my Sprint with 2.5. For some reason when using one of the compact qwerty keyboards I only am getting numbers. It will not type text. I can use the full keyboard which is fine. I did some searching on the boards and have not found any definitive response to this happening. Any thoughts out of reflashing or hard resetting? Something I would like to avoid.

I have had this similar problem even with a stock rom on certain applications, specifically Live Search I think or Google Maps. Had to swap to the regular small keyboard to get letters. No solution other than that sorry.

I have done my research before, and read that I should use rom upgrade and restore databases, but I was unaware of this bringing back the stuff from the prior rom.

I have seen that most people prefer SPB Backup 2.0. Right now I'm using Sprite 6.02 and I think it is up to 6.5. So I'm willing to try SPB 2.0, but could someone give advice on how to set it up so that I don't overwrite things that shouldn't be overwritten?

that's exactly what I asked earlier. someone suggested SPB 2.0, but like I said before, Sprite Backup 6.03, even in rom update mode, rolls it back . You can check it on your device info and you'll probably notice the juicy firmware isn't correct.

From what I saw, the only option would be to have a limited restore which wouldn't be any better than PIMM backup anyway.

Quick question about tf3d and rom building:

Will unchecking tf3d on today screen make the ui of windows mobile just as snappy as not putting it into the rom at all?

I downloaded 2.5 Sprint yesterday and am really happy with it.

I have been doing all my testing on the Juicy roms in a different city and now I am home. I arrived a couple days before installing 2.5. I get a better signal than where I was before and noticed a great improvement in my battery life immediately (I don't think anyone needs more proof that it is a radio problem but there is my story anyway). That said... I see even more battery life improvement, both idle and under heavy use with 2.5. I also am seeing improvements in the temperature at which my device is running.

New display drivers seem to render things like menu popups, etc, more quickly.

I have been doing some testing with the Gyrator2 and this, coupled with the new 2.5 Juicy are making me a very happy panda.

My 2.5 report

....FANTASTIC!

I didnt think battery life could be any better - But it is. After charging, my device doesnt drop one bar immediately - I've had it off the charger since 9am - it's now 2pm and it JUST went down one.

The issues I was having with Opera are now gone- Musta just been something I installed prior to updating to 2.4.1 - Cause on a clean install everything is working flawless.

Data is great, I'm getting crazy speeds on dsl reports.

Youtube seems to be a bit smoother - Still room for improvement in my eyes.... Just the app itself is very sluggish after running it for a while...

Bluetooth and Beam are working like a charm.

I haven't REALLY noticed a whole lot of difference with the upgraded video drivers - but i'm sure it's making some kind of difference...

All in All, Juicy. Pretty outstanding work.

Can you give us a little glimpse of what you have in store for your next few releases?? !
