So I took my phone off the charger around 10am yesterday. I used about 45-60 minutes of phone calls, 50 emails, 20 texts and about 10 minutes of Opera and at 9:45pm when I got home last night the battery was still at 40%.

I am VERY happy with this compared to before. I used to have to recharge it after 5 hours!!

I don't think so, unless I have a setting some place...The only thing i have it set to do is under power turn back light off if not used for 30 secs and turn off device if not use for 40 secs. Does that kill the data connection? it seems like e-mail used to still come through with these settings before...

Otherwise, is there anything else I can check?

do you have push enabled in the comm manager?

Direct Push does appear to be on in the Comm Manager...it is slid to "On" although when I first opened it I saw it was grayed out and then lit to green after about a half second....

Oh okay, I was already using that then. Only problem is when you run out of drag space if you are selecting a ton of messages.

I installed the Juicy 2.5 ROM yesterday, and then tried the battery meter app which showed a percentage of battery remaining. After I reset the phone, it still did not show the new battery meter.

As a warning, I'm a total noob when it comes to WM phones.

This is the second Diamond I have seen this on and it did it on the previous two versions of this ROM also.

I have the stock Sprint ROM and haven't installed a cooked one yet and I see the exact same thing occur with Send/Receive - it restarts TF3D and takes me back to the Home tab (sometimes straight back to the Home tab without the restart too).

Definitely something outside the scope of what Juicy is touching at this point...

Have not had this problem since I was on AT&T, but it was something they had to fix on their end. Try calling CS for your provider.
