when I go to settings > buttons > I would like to be able to have the phone allow me to set the long press end key to use the voice feature so I can speak what I want instead of type it in for programs like Live Search. Anyone know how to do this? Under "#1. Select a button:" it only lists the Send key...

I just finished flashing/setting up my diamond on 2.7.. ran a speed test on dslreport.com/mspeed

Look at these freaking results!!!!!

2021 kbit/sec
0.146s latency
4.166s d/l time

juicey heads up, i see you found the Touch HD rom, that is where the newer apps came from. but take a look at touch flo, in the same rom.

new version, adds new feature. version 3.0 build 32567

adds a setting to vibrate the device when tapping the tabs of touchflo, youtube, and opera. you may want to take a look at it.

I'm not too sure that is compatible with Diamond as the resolution of the Touch HD is higher than that of the Diamond. Could be wrong though...

i have it running on my diamond right now. just need to make sure you copy the MUI file has well.

some of the apps from the touch HD will work. but the graphics are all resize different.

like the youtube app from there is a newer build but it will not show up right on the screen, it cuts off the right side.

but for like programs that are located in the settings, then it will work. I have been playing with it for a few days now. testing now, and then I will have a custom alltel rom.

right now i have the touch HD keyboard working, it has the arrows under it to select another text box. however the keyboard will not work in landscape mode, the graphics need resize.

also there is an upload app on there, to upload videos to youtube. I am working on a new camera build, that allows you to touch where you want to auto focus. And working on a new album that allows direct uploads.

no promises on any of them, but some of the Touch HD apps will work, they just need time to get everything working.

i couldnt get it, i will look more into it this weekend. i should have some spare time.

so for now i am still using the manilla from the alltel rom.

Minor details - is anyone else missing the stock images for favorite people. After updating to 2.7, I cannot choose the images to apply to favorite people.
