I dont think changing the MP3's to WAV will make any difference, i still do think it's dll and/or registry related. I'm still working after replacing the older tsowentaskbar.

March 26 Clear Storage, Flash, Clear Storage. Restore with Sashami.

Normally I restore with SPB Backup, but on updates without sys changes I find Sashami works better. BTW Tsowen Taskbar cab installed.

With that being said I will go back to the other taskbar's like 2,3, and 5 and change out the HTCVolumecontrol with the new one. As stated by fade try fix he mentioned changing out icons in a dll has nothing to do with the ringer specific, also some dialer skins have been causing this problem. If you have problems and think its the taskbar PM me or post something in my thread so we work on a fix.

PM Sent Tsowen...

I only tried using the "Tsowen Taskbar 3 v1.4_032209.cab", so I can't speak for any other releases. I have not installed any dialer skins, and have been using the "Ring-Standard" ringtone.

I like your taskbar so if there is a newer version available that plays nice on my phone running MightyROM 4.8 I'd be happy to give it a go.

the last change mike did goin from 4.7 to 4.8 was to change the volume to default to the system volume instead of the ring volume or something like that. I wouldnt be suprised if that had something to do with it.
